The Land and Its People on Audible
I've been listening to the audiobook version of David's new book and find the very loud rhythmic clapping (or clattering noise) between the chapters to be very grating and annoying. I thought, is it punishment for buying the audio version vs the "real" book version of his book? Is it his way of saying we should just buy the book in a physical form? Then I realized that since the book consists of different readings recorded live...he probably does want us to listen vs just read. Then why the punishment?

Elm trimming
I have a large elm and the branches are hanging over my house. It was on the schedule for trimming last fall, but the tree company never came and I forgot to check back with them and now it's past the recommended trimming time. Is there any way the branches touching the roof and overhanging the deck so low we have to duck under them can be trimmed at this time of year? Is there any product to put on the cut ends to seal them or deter the beetles?
