Thoughts on ending scenes
Hi everyone! This is my first post on Reddit and I signed up literally so I could talk to other people about Alchemised because I loved it so much!!!
SPOILERS AHEAD
I know it’s a controversial take, but I loved how the book ended. The author always wrote Kaine and Helena‘s relationship from a realistic standpoint, considering the situation they were in and I feel like they did the same with the ending. Kaine and Helena had the happiest ending they could have. Helena got to live in peace being loved back by somebody she loved and Kaine got to love Helena knowing that she was safe and he could always be there for her.
Now, where I was really hoping to hear some other thoughts was in chapter 78 during the scene where Helena confronts Kaine on Stroud’s death.
- Did Kaine make that choice because Stroud was the last thing that was a threat to Helena safety so he just had to do it? Even though it was a risk?
- I don’t understand Helena‘s reaction to the news considering the fact that she knows what Kaine would do for her and who he is. Why do you think her reaction was so intense?
Thank you to anybody who comments I’m excited to get to talk to others about this amazing book! ☺️❤️🔥
P.S. I think Bad Desire (With or Without You) (English Ver.) by ENHYPEN is SUCH a good song from Kaine’s POV!!! 🤭
