Is building your own CRM ever actually worth it?
We are a growing SaaS company with a messy mix of spreadsheets, homegrown dashboards and integrations that only one person understands. The internal debate is whether we build a proper tool for sales and customer operations or use a modern CRM and accept that it will never fit perfectly.
The build option sounds nice because our workflows are unusual. Then I list out permissions, reporting, imports, audit history, integrations and ongoing maintenance, and it starts to look like a whole product team.
