How to deal with an aggressive sparing partner

Hi guys, it's me again, I hope yall are doing great! Last Wednesday we did sparing (one at the center and that guy was sparing the rest of the line of people after you were done with all, someone else takes your place) now, the thing is that one guy is quite aggressive and strikes quite hard (I been told the same by others) and the issue is that he managed to give me a quite hard headshot to the back of my head in between my ear and my neck, which shuk my skull and made me dizzy for like 15 mins or so (I had to sit down against a wall) the same guy also gave me a hook to the nuts in a previous sparring session, now, I do not think he is doing it on porpuse cuz he is 15 and probably doesn't control himself well enough, my question is if after telling him to slow down he is basically doing the same, do you guys think I should warn the coach? This thinking came after I mentioned this sequence to a friend of mine who used to be a boxer and he got quite worried cuz apparently doing this kind of thing is forbidden and quite dangerous, he told me that I should at least let the coach know so she can have an eye on him, I don't want to be that guy and I don't really mind getting hit, it's the place combined with the strength of those hits that concerns me. Take into account that I didn't have any issues what so ever with anybody else, bigger, smaller, taller, shorter, you name it, npx but him... 2 incidents in 3 weeks, idk, what would you guys do?

I'm afraid of throwing hands

Hi everyone, how are you guys doing?

I have a very specific question, I been doing kickboxing for a few weeks and honestly I been having a blast, I have gone throw 2 sparring session and spared around 16 different people from different disciplines (karate, boxing and kickboxing with some caveats of like not hitting the karate folks in the head or no kicks to the boxing guys) but what I find myself doing is basically hesitating, I'm afraid of either hitting them too hard and the usual answer that comes with it or hitting them in a sensitive place (basically hurting them) and on top of that, mentally is quite hard for me to intentionally hit someone because of yes (I hope that im making sense) how do you guys deal with it? Is it normal? What can I do?

It might have some childhood trauma (kinda) related to this too, I remember that my mother always used to tell me that I was extremely violent cuz I smacked my brother from time to time due to him driving me nuts, I'm not particularly proud of it tbh but... There is that too.

Some people told me that it will go away eventually, some others that I shouldn't be scared of it cuz I can't really hurt them, idk

Also during this sparring sessions it wasn't like 2 alone in a ring, it was the whole gym in couples and I was 50% of the time paying attention to not run into someone or something which really didn't help either.

I'm all ears, I'm pretty new to this and all advice is more than welcome.

In case that somehow it matters, I'm 6.4, 185lbs, 22yr old male, anything else that is relevant, let me know.

Have a good one, and take care of yourselves

Cheers

A couple of questions.

Hi everyone, first time posting here, I hope everyone is doing well, first of all, I'm an absolute beginner, I'm serious, tomorrow is my 3rd class but so far I'm having an absolute blast, I'm really excited and both my partners and the coach love me which makes me really happy.

I just had a couple of questions.

Can someone please share a good wrapping tutorial? I've tried to watch on yt but I always manage to screw it and it's harder to follow than i thought. So anything is very appreciated.

2)

In my last class after the workout I had the brilliant idea of hitting the bag with a couple of my partners bare handed (yes, I know, Im a genius) so the coach suggested me to grab a pair of gloves so I picked up a pair of venum elite 14oz for like 40 bucks (my coach said anything in between 14 to 16) how do you guys know how much weight is enough for the gloves and what's the difference? I mean, I know that the difference is weight ofc but how does it affect the hit

I must clarify that during the training I was wrapped but I don't think it was well enough.

(it's my 3rd class and I already got the gloves... Maybe I got carried away? Anyway)

3)

Back to wraps, how do you guys know when it's tight enough? Like I have a feeling that it has to be a sweet spot between "it cuts my circulation" and "its slipping")

4)

One of the partners that I had made a comment to the coach about me going to a tournament since I was learning fast (apparently) and my gym background (which is literally just 2 years of weight lifting) had some work done already, ofc I refused kindly cuz I will probably get folded like a fucking beach chair and I dont do this cuz I like to fight per se.

But at which point you guys knew you were ready for that?

(and yes she was serious)

I might still go to watch and learn what I can from it and the rest of the Club. (it's in a month)

5)

I've heard some mix reviews about the gloves that I've picked up but sadly here in Uruguay we don't have too many options to choose from, however which ones do you guys recommend?

6)

For those how mix kb with the gym, what do you guys train like to complete the full workout? Or you take it like on top of the gym?

7)

Can you guys share any tips on how to deal with muscle soreness?

My apologies if anything here does not make sense, my English is far from perfect.

So far I'm really excited and I'm honestly looking forward for the next class.

Thx in advance for the advice (please be gentle 😅) have a good one, cheers!!!

Capsulas dolce gusto/nespresso baratas
