is this dianthus beyond saving?

is this dianthus beyond saving?

It had some new stuff sprouting about a week ago, but the leaves were browning and the Internet said to cut the dead leaves. and in the process, I accidentally cut the two bulbs.

Does it have any hope of coming back? Is there anything else I should do?

confused about deadheading dianthus

I am SO new to gardening and plants and all this but I got this last week and some of the flowers have wilted/died?

I looked it up online and was told to deadhead it but all the videos are cutting it down to the fresh leaves. But mine has healthy blooms attached to the same stem, so I don't want to cut those, right? Or do it anyway?

Every video I see is only one flower per stem so I'm lost.

You can see there are also some dying leaves and buds that haven't bloomed.

sos pls send help I don't want to be a plant murderer anymore
