manufactured rise to "fame"?

they definitely had money beforehand, so i feel like their parents mightve at least invested in their channel (e.g. buying subscribers, marketing, etc) kinda how like (for example) taylor swift's dad helped her career jumpstart by holding a stake in her label or smth like that (correct me if im wrong)

a lot of celebrities and influencers start this way, so i wouldnt be surprised if their parents had a hand. even the images out there of their younger selves seems carefully curated, and they got their work done (e.g. surgeries) early on & had posts going viral on social media before starting their channel.

with the amount of subs they got in such a little time for the content they make (which, quite frankly, isn't that great), i'd argue there was definitely some help involved, especially compared to other channels that have been out there longer. on top of a whole lotta gooners that theyve definitely used to their advantage (i mean how many people have we seen cater to the male gaze to garner more attention).

anyways, i definitely feel like part of their rise was manufactured, or at least i don't see the hype around their content to this extent. sure, they were trending at some point, but even that's an intentional form of marketing.

also im new to the sub, i agreed what this person said and wanted to credit/add their thoughts as well, but the rules said to block users out, so hopefully i did that right? 😓 sorry if i messed up!

straight goonslop

no comment needed. idk how ppl are blind to this they know what theyre doin.

the fetish content. the thumbnail posing.

even when demitra went "why's it always to me" (about someone saying they goon to her), when she literally fuels it and craves male attention, just shows shes aware of it. im sorry but shes such a pick me & always gets glazed as iconic or the poor victim.

like in the wax video. the whole video was a weird thing to post overall, but of COURSE she needed to show and wax her cleavage & vagina that very moment. or when sunday just HAD to show herself shaving.

sure there was the time she was SA-ed, or when eli was groped, but they dont even take such moments seriously (e.g. eli's joke right after was just off) and they way they pimp each other out on the internet doesn't help at all. i'm not defending the weirdos, but they're definitely conscious of this and simply don't care. i mean eli was being dressed up with her butt out as a teenager for that ninja turtles costume and they didnt protect her at all. theyre hypersexual and crave male attention at the expense of their own safety and dignity.

odd things ive noticed:

  1. a lot of their topics are sex/love related (omegle, or even the clickbait featured in thumbnails, like the smut or the text about demitra grabbing something censored shown on image 11)
  2. just straight goonbait
  3. all the omegle videos feature men on the thumbnail
  4. image 13 - the placement of demitra's blur
  5. demitra always poses the most sexual (if that's the right word), like in image 4 of course she's under "flirty" (and she always has that damn biting nail pose), even image 5 (given they're behavior) can be arguably goonbait
  6. (a bit of a controversial take) even their older thumbnails, they'd wear heavy push-ups under their tanks that pushed their cleavage out. sure, you can dress how you want, but there's a fine line between dressing nice & catering to a certain audience, and the way a lot of those particular thumbnails have their arms behind their backs and their chests pushed in front (even eli, who was a teen), it's a tad questionable, or at the very least doesn't protect their youngest sister.

i'd argue they've always been this way, even when people say they've become more male-centered, i'd say it's just been more obvious than before.

wannabe kardashians

i've always felt like they wanna be "iconic" like the kardashians (who i'm not a fan of), from this new (failed) "chic" aesthetic to the filming personal moments (waxing, getting ready) and being highly male-centered (the omegle videos, renting boyfriends, who knows noah best, flirting (terribly), feeding into gooners just enough to play the innocent game if called out)

however, the whole demitra losing her diamond earring in the water nonsense solidified this thought (e.g. kim losing her earring in the water). i don't watch neither the kardashians or the kalogeras but as soon as i saw that clip of demitra losing her earring I KNEW the kim comparisons were coming, and given demitra's main character syndrome, i feel like she'd love such attention.

(speaking of, they're obsessed with flaunting designer, like demitra's ig photos with the empty bags and eli's bday wishlist just being brands rather than items, they feel overly concerned with the appearance of being rich and famous if that makes sense)

they wanna have these "iconic" moments SO bad, and it'd be naive to argue they're not aware of these parallels given their constant references to such moments. from the whole LA persona attempt to the vlogging being a bit TOO intimate (i mean why are we recording each other on the toilet)

they've set this whole thing up like they're some rich girls vlogging a reality show but instead it's come off as cheap and unclassy. they've lost their individuality in their grasping to fit into these influencer trends while tryna come off as the trend-setters, and it's made their egos insufferable and ruined their authenticity (although as a cynic, i'd argue most channels lack authenticity in the first place; it's social media, people are gonna post what they want you to see).

i can even see the parallels between their cuckoo mama kalogeras and kris jenner pimping out their kids and being concerned with their appearances (not to mention all the plastic surgeries they've had when they've barely grown into their bodies) (also, arguably, many influencer parents go down this path)

it's just unfortunate as they did have a SENSE of authenticity and personality at least (once again, i'm a cynic regardless, but i mean to say they were entertaining to those who enjoyed them in comparison to their soulless or just overall weird presence today)

noah and demitra attention seeking

im usually a lurker but knowing how they love seeking attention do you think theres a chance their latest video and demitra's weird behavior is just tryna feed into the noah & demitra ship & allegations??

not tryna defend demitra, i think all the sisters & noah need to have better boundaries & eli needs to stand up for herself

but idk i wouldnt put it past them to wanna keep feeding into weird things like this, given how they feed to gooners, pimp each other out in jokes, feed to fetishes, and are overall weird and attention seeking

i still think their behavior is really weird, i mean the sisters, especially demitra, are always all over noah, noah does weird crap, eli does weird crap in terms of male attention (like the post earlier in the snark where demitra's tellin another bs story about a dude complimenting her ahh & eli says she wishes it was her), theyre all honestly weird either way, but i wouldnt put it past them to try to feed in, especially demitra shes always doin tm for sum attention

i also just think their rls needs better boundaries like with the sisters and even the way they act, i mean of course sure each to their own but eli's out here flashing people with a whole boyfriend or like the magic mike stuff, is the bare minimum not basic respect, and noahs not a saint either hes weird overall
