This subreddit lost 600 weekly visitors in a couple of months.

I don't know if this is due to a lack of moderation or an indication on how monday's losing users.

If you're an active or semi-active visitor of this subreddit please share your thoughts and next moves.

I personally HATE the monday community and prefer reddit's interface to it a thousand times. Especially their new interface is so bad and also unfair. I can't even look at it without getting a headache, let alone use it actively.

Dead monday: Good AI should cut costs not add to them

This is what monday is getting wrong: the push on AI with no focus on reducing overall costs and with an obvious focus on charging clients more just based on the trendiness of something.

AI became a huge trend BECAUSE it can help cut costs. That's the important bit. I wish someone with a magic staff could restore monday's love for helping get work done instead of their sole focus on revenue recently.

Are people leaving this subreddit?

The subreddit now has 3.8k members. The description says 8k. I don't know if I'm tripping but is the subreddit losing members?

Have you built your own CRM using AI? How was your experience?

Hi there. I'm researching how companies build hyper-personalized in-house solutions using AI to get off of big SaaS platforms like monday or salesforce. I'm curious to know if anyone here has any experience with that.

  • Was the migration tough?
  • Has it been a lasting solution?
  • Are you happy with your new solution?
  • What was the most challenging parts of building the solution and migrating to it?
  • Is there need for constant services and care after the migration? Mainenance, upgrading, etc. If yes, how often and in what size of effort?

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Are you ready to be thrown under the bus?

monday only accepts apps with AI capabilities to marketplace. This big shift here is going to cost some partners their businesses and some users will choose to migrate off monday.

Feel free to disagree; I'm horrified.

BTW: "Does your app contains"? Who wrote this? God I miss the 2024 monday... that's why many of us chose monday; their attention to detail.

Is monday.com free falling?!

I have been building a business doing monday services for 2 years now. I initially picked monday because of the great community and support they had for their partners and how much they cared about their clients.

In 2026 however it feels like it is free falling. I see features being released that haven’t been tested well and are buggy and obv vibe coded. I see their community switching to a clunky new system that’s a torture to use. I see their subreddit is totally unmoderated and full of ai answers. But what made me legit worried was seeing reports of people not being able to get in touch with customer support! I’m losing hope. What do you think? What’s the future of work management and CRM? Where to move next?

For context I am a MSc in CS graduate with years of software engineering experience; I switched to this as I could build hyper custom solutions and I wanted to start a company. What a confusing time to do that btw.

Is this sub moderated?

Hi there. I've tried contacting mods with no luck. There is a surge in the number of repeating AI-generated replies that concerns me. This subreddit is such an amazing place to connect, if those few strictly using it for personal gain with no regard for the genuine dwellers here, let it be.

(The ones replying when a post gets more than a certain number of views with an AI-gened answer)

Anyone actually using monday AI with tangible ROI?

Hi there, I'm trying to see if any big company (15+ people) is using monday AI with tangible results?

Not just for automatically assigning labels to items but actually getting work done with multi-agent workflows?

  • What have you been able to replace?
  • What's the impact and ROI?
  • Is it cheaper or better than using external AI via API or other interfaces?

monday.com gets harder the more freedom we give people

After nearly 3 years implementing monday.com, I keep seeing the same pattern:

Teams blame poor adoption on training.

But often the real problem is that monday (out of the box) gives ordinary users too many ways to redesign the system while they’re trying to use it.

Three common failure modes:

  1. People edit the board structure when they should only be entering data.
  2. Teams assume one business process should map neatly to one board. It rarely does, so users are forced to mentally translate between the real process and Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Projects, etc.
  3. Company policy lives in editable statuses, checkboxes and columns. Eventually someone changes or bypasses them, and the workflow quietly drifts from the actual policy.

A custom sign shop is a good example.

Production should not begin because somebody manually changed a status to “Approved.” Approval should come through one controlled action that records:

  • which proof version was approved
  • who approved it
  • when they approved it
  • whether production can now begin

The setup I generally prefer:

  • Only a small owner/admin group can edit structure
  • Most employees interact through controlled forms or role-specific views
  • Automations move the captured data and unlock the next step
  • Every structure change is treated as a process-design change (not a casual board edit)

What do you think?

Why Flexiblity is actually EVIL in monday.com

Depending on the type of company you are, your use of monday.com and the characteristics of your team, you can break monday in your own specific way and render it useless. That is because monday allows for many possiblities. It is very flexible; here is how that flexiblity can actually break your monday.com workflow and how you can counter it.

1. Confusing data input with structure edit

In monday you can either edit the data structure or input data.

Team members break the system by editing the structure of the data when they should really be inputing data.

2. Processes ≠ Boards

In a business you have processes and workflows for each role. In monday.com your processes almost never translate directly to a board.

Imagine a sales process, you’d have Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities and Projects as boards. Where is the sale in this?! Since the process doesn’t directly translate to workspace, team members have to pay in cognitive effort to do this translation every time they want to input data. That builds a subconscious resistance toward monday. These later frustrated team members will be very prone to making edits to the data structure or ask for never ending edits to the boards.

3. Silent drifts from policy

A company has a policy and a set of processes designed based on past experience. Imagine you establish a “no more than 1 free sample” policy at a store. You could add a number field for counting samples for each visitor; you could add a status column; you could add a checkbox to harness the number of samples. Later, a recent hire at your shop edits the fields to allow for the number 10 to be captured and gives away 10 samples.

Now I know that’s a humorously bad example but I have seen this repeat over and over and over again with businesses I have worked with. The biggest instance of this case is SCOPE CREEP in agencies offer retainer packages. Nonetheless the issue root is flexiblity.

How do you feel about the new monday.com community website?

I personally prefered the old polished and simple community website. This new one feels a bit clunky and discouraging engagement.

Curious to know what you guys think about the new community website?
