What Happend???!
Hey everyone, I could really use some help understanding my results because they seem confusing.
My known family background is:
Father’s side: Bayburt
Mother’s side: Rize
My paternal grandmother has a North Caucasian background.
My mother’s side also tested and the results are mostly Laz.
I also got around 65% Georgian on MyHeritage, and my G25 (Davidski) results fit my family history quite well. My closest populations are Meskhetians, Laz, Hemshin, Turkish (Trabzon/Erzurum)
G25 modern scaled models on Vahaduo even show a North Caucasian component which makes sense considering my grandmother.
What confuses me is my Deep Ancestry result. Instead of reflecting that pattern, it models me mainly as Urartian, Zagros/Iranian Plateau, etc.
but I expected the results to align more closely with my G25 results and my known family background.
Has anyone else experienced something similar, or can explain why these results seem so different?
