Reached 100 in the new Japanese course

Reached 100 in the new Japanese course

I reached score of 99, was aiming for 100 before the update Japanese course arrived. New course arrive 1 week ago when I was at score 99. I completed to score of 100 in the new course.

Anyways, I can now continue using duolingo without fear of running out of content in May. I spent around 450 hours to get to score 100. I also study outside of duolingo in anki, youtube, wanikani, podcast, etc. Since I was already learning alot outside of duolingo, the new course vocabulary words were not too difficult.

good about the new course: There are lots of stories in the new Japanese course. 1 story for almost every unit in section 6. there may be over 100 stories now. The old Japanese course had like 30 stories total. Stories were my favorite part of duolingo. The stories now use vocabulary words in that unit. In the old course, the stories were not related to the lesson at all.

bad: Dumbbell exercise gets difficult because it’s a review of older lessons that we never did in the new course.
Dumbbell exercise were already hard in the old course since they require typing out the entire sentence in japanese.
There are many unknown vocabulary words if one didn’t learn outside of duolingo previously.

neutral: shorter units but now there alot more units. I can see this course being a step in the right direction.

Suggestions: I would prefer an opt in to the new lesson option. Click accept to transfer to the new course or stay on the old course. You have 30 days to migrate or force to do so. Especially when it was in AB testing phase.
