Image 1 — I sure enjoy hanging with you guys! I build "lake decks" with all steel construction. All joists and girders and handrails are steel, but i learn something new here every day. Theres a lot in common with what I do and hope you appreciate this recently completed pier project of ours.

👋Welcome to r/docks_and_piers - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone! Its ya boy u/winstonalonian, a founding moderator of r/docks_and_piers.

Reddit says i should make this welcome post so please clap at the end thanks.

This is our new home for all things related to anything related to freestanding and floating docks and piers. We're excited to have you join us! No surprise, that negative energy doesnt fly much more than a boat does here, so if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all. Hate is weight on the soul.

What to Post

Post anything that you think the community would find interesting, helpful, or inspiring. Feel free to share your thoughts, photos, or questions about anything related to docks, piers or similar marine construction in general. Also visit our fellow subreddit r/boatlifts. Thats the people over there.

Community Vibe

We're all about being friendly, constructive, and inclusive. Haters can faafo about that ban button. Let's build a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing and connecting.

How to Get Started

  1. Introduce yourself in the comments below.

  2. Post something today! Even a simple question can spark a great conversation.

  3. If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join.

  4. Interested in helping out? We're always looking for new moderators, so feel free to reach out to me to apply.

  5. Non original content is welcome here as long as it is accompanied with credit to the source, has a legitimate question or explanation about the context and is posted with the obligation to answer questions in comments on the subject. For example your favorite pier you visited but forgot to take a picture of but found one on the interweb is fine as long as you continue engagement with the post.

Thanks for being part of the very first wave (no pun intended, reddit wrote most of this). Together, let's make r/docks_and_piers amazing totes yeet.
