Making bracelet-making kits simpler for beginners

Making bracelet-making kits simpler for beginners

When my daughters and I started creating bracelet-making kits at Crafty Queens, one thing we wanted was to make choosing beads easier for beginners.

Instead of sorting through hundreds of colors, each kit has a curated mix of coordinating beads that you can easily mix and match to create your own designs.

This is one of them, our Terrific Teal kit, with enough beads to make three bracelets. πŸ’™

Our little color series 🌈

We love playing with different shades of the same color, so we created this little series. It was so much fun seeing how each color gave the bracelets a completely different personality.

Do you have a favorite?

Palette of Harmony ✨

We created this collection for people who love color as much as we do!

We wanted each bracelet to have its own personality while keeping the same simple, comfortable style. It was so much fun to see how different shades of the same color gave each bracelet its own character.

Which one would you choose?

UV-reactive bracelets that change color in sunlight β˜€οΈ

My daughters and I had so much fun designing these. They look white indoors, but once they're exposed to sunlight, the colors appear.

Watching them change color never gets old. 😊

Three bracelets, three personalities ✨

My daughters and I each designed one of these bracelets using our favorite colors.

Looking at them side by side, I think our personalities come through in the designs.

Which one would you choose!

Wildlife-inspired bracelet: Monarch butterfly πŸ¦‹

My younger daughter is always teaching me new facts about animals she finds online. Since we love colorful things so much, we started looking at some of nature's most colorful creatures and using their colors as inspiration for our bracelet designs.

This one was inspired by the monarch butterfly. We tried to capture its bright orange, black, and white pattern.

Do you think it gives off a monarch butterfly feel?

She designed this color pattern, and I love it

My daughters absolutely love making fun patterns with colors. This is one my younger daughter designed for our customizable bracelets, and I am in love with how pretty it looks!

Wildlife-Inspired Bracelet: Scarlet Macaw 🦜

My younger daughter loves learning about animals, and we LOVE colorful bracelets. That inspired us to start looking at some of nature's most vibrant creatures and using their color palettes as inspiration for our designs.

This bracelet was inspired by the scarlet macaw. We tried to capture its bold reds, blues, yellows, and greens in a simple beaded design.

Do you see the scarlet macaw in it?

Bracelet makers: What supply has been the hardest for you to source?

As a small-scale bracelet maker, I've been struggling to find high-quality beads in specific colors that stay consistent from one order to the next.

What's been the most challenging supply for you to source?

Who else loves purple? πŸ’œ

Finished bracelet or DIY bracelet kit?

The photos show a few of my UV color-changing bracelet designs alongside a UV bracelet making kit. The kit makes three bracelets, but not necessarily the same designs shown.

I'm curious what other jewelry makers think. Do you see more appeal in finished jewelry, or in giving people the chance to make something themselves? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Different stones, same pattern

My daughters and I loved this pattern so much that we made a few bracelets, just changing up the natural stone color combinations. We had so much fun making them.

Which combination is your favorite?

Just Discovered UV-Reactive Beads

My daughters and I came across these UV-reactive beads recently and have been having so much fun designing bracelets with them. Indoors they stay a soft white, but a little sunlight completely changes their look.

They've become one of our favorite summer beads to work with.

Has anyone else tried UV-reactive beads? What was your first reaction when you saw them change color?

Our first table setup. What stands out to you?

This was our very first farmers market booth. We make beaded bracelets and bracelet kits, and we're already thinking about ways to improve the display for future events.

If this were your booth, what would be the first thing you'd change?
