Hi there, welcome to the Topps WWE Slam Subreddit.  This sub was founded when the app began back in 2016 and has been continually updated ever since.  We run a tight ship, but please don’t be discouraged.  Just follow the rules and we’ll all be happy!

Also if for some reason you get banned, usually a simple apology will get you unbanned.

First Rule:
Don’t be a jerk to your fellow subredditors.  That’s a given.  If you’re a jerk to anyone you’ll get warned or booted.  We want a friendly community.  Now, we’re all adults and we should act like them.  Sometimes we don’t get along.  That’s OK. 

There are a lot of newer players with less experience than you have, and that's OK. If you see a newer player question and don't like it, either ignore it and move on or be nice and answer.

Personal attacks on any other user, including any moderators, for any reason will result in a warning and/or banning from the sub.

If you're calling out a scammer, you better have evidence to back your claim up. Screen shots will be required.

If you're caught scamming in the game you have no business being here and will be banned. We don't want you in our community

We don’t allow the discussion of stuff that violates Topps TOS.  Let me explain further - what we mean is you can’t talk about skirting the rules to gain an advantage over others, such as creating multiple accounts to farm free coins, using an emulator like Blue Stacks, or anything else that will get you banned from the app.  THIS DOES NOT COVER SELLING CARDS. 

THIRD:
Selling Cards IS ALLOWED HERE, and the discussion of prices and sales are totally OK and encouraged.  That said, you cannot just create an account and sell your cards here.  You must conform to three caveats:

1.  You must be a member here in good standing for at least 2 weeks.

2.  You must have at least 10 contributions to the sub, either a post or comment.  Spamming will not count.

3.  You must have a minimum of a 4 star trader rating in game (verifiable).

If you do not meet the criteria you cannot sell here.  There are plenty of other places to sell. There are no exceptions.

FOURTH:
Please don’t advertise yourself, either your YouTube Channel or your discord.  If it comes up in conversation, that’s fine, but you can’t start a thread simply to advertise yourself.  There is a chatroom here for chat if you wanna use that.  

FIFTH:
Each Redditor gets ONE trade thread per week Day  What’s a trade thread?  That’s your own space to list your haves and wants and advertise yourself!  Be creative!  Post pics.  Whatever.  Just one per week.  If you post more than 1 trade thread in a day period you will get them both deleted and will have to wait a day to post. If you do it more than once you’ll get increasingly longer temp bans.  Don’t make me do this.

You MUST post your In Game Name in your trade thread. None of this "DM me for my name". If you can't or won't post your in game name, you won't be trading here.

SIXTH: NEW RULE
Trade tokens are now required for new users to the game to be able to trade. This opens up the game for scammer to take advantage of non certified users. So it will be against the rules to ask anyone to give you a token, for token holders to offer their token or for anyone to buy or sell a token for money, cards or anything else of any value. If you aren't willing to spend any money on the game, you can go back to an old trade & try to communicate with another player that you know & trust.

FINALLY:
NO LOW EFFORT POSTS!

What’s a “low effort post” - well my definition is one that is only a pic or two of your latest pull bragging about what you got.  That’s not enough for a thread.  You can post that in the official set thread that is made and stickied for every single set. 

If you have a collection of cards you’re proud of, go for it.  That’s what the collection showcase tag is for. But if you have a single card or two you like, naaah. Even if you pull a 1/1 and are super excited, it's not enough for a new thread. You can post that in the set's official thread.

Also responding to “is this a good trade” threads with “if you’re happy with it it’s a good trade” or something like that is also low-effort.  Answer the question or don’t bother.

Also any comment about how the cards are digital and worthless will be removed immediately.  These cards HAVE cash value whether you agree or not.  If you don’t agree, you probably won’t like this subreddit much.  That’s OK too there are other subs for this game.

OTHER THINGS:
USE THE FLAIR PROPERLY PLEASE.  It really really helps.  If you’re asking a question about a card value or if it’s a good trade the flair isn’t “QUESTION” it’s “TRADE ADVICE”.  Also if you’re planning on trading it’s a trade thread.  There’s no harm in making a mistake, we’ll fix it for ya.  But yeah please.

Before Staring a "What is this Worth Thread" PLEASE READ

These can get contentious and we want to avoid that.  Card values are always subjective, but they ARE valuable.  Slam cards are bought and sold daily over the internet and then traded within the app.  We encourage this.  In fact it’s one of the reasons this forum exists in the first place, folks gotta know how to value their stuff.

Here's the problem though, there are certain users who feel like it's OK to ask value on basically anything and everything. I'm not naming names or calling ANYONE specific out, but you know who you are if you do it.

We're not going to outright ban what it's worth threads, we're not even going to introduce any rules for them at this time. What we're asking for is to have some common sense, and use the existing resources out there already to find values and not solely rely on the forum. Obviously this is for more RECENT cards that are readily available through secondary markets and other channels. Clearly if it's a <2021 card go ahead and ask away.

Common sense should also prevail when you're talking about Super-Rares and below. 95% of Super-Rares will be worth <$5. Don't even worry about Rares, Uncommons or Commons and base unless they are <100cc.

And use some basic reasoning skills. We all know that women are worth more than men, sometimes a LOT more. We can certainly argue who's at the top and worth more, but yeah, Male Legendaries are going to sell for <$50 for the most part (unless they're <25cc and even then).

It’s usually pretty clear when someone doesn’t do their basic homework before posting. That's all we're asking you to do. DO SOME BASIC HOMEWORK before you post "whats this worth?"

This forum is moderated.  Some folks think it’s too moderated.  2026 I’m gonna try to not be so heavy handed. 

Topps WWE Slam is a digital trading card app that began in 2016, took a hiatus in 2021 and came back with a vengeance in 2025.  There are hundreds of thousands of unique cards in the game to collect and trade with more being added every day!

Since it’s a trading card app, trading is built into the app itself.  Running the tutorial will give you the basics of HOW to trade, but not really the insight as to how to value your cards and how to get the most out of your trades.

I’ve been on the app since Day One, and I haven’t missed very many days since then.  I’m an avid collector and trader and have amassed almost 5000 trader ratings, doing nearly double that number of actual trades (you can only get rated once per user).  My rating is 4.6 out of 5, so I think I know a little something.  I don’t profess to know everything, but following these guidelines you will grow your collection and increase your ratings.

What Should I Collect?

My advice is to pick and choose how YOU want to collect. MOST players will go for the sets they like and have a "player collection" or "PC" of their favorite wrestler.
For example, me - I will go for every lower end set that's easy to finish, the Uncommon and Rares for bigger sets. I do this for every set in the game. Have since day one, so there aren't very many sets I don't have at least one tier of.

BUT I also PC Bret "The Hitman" Hart. In fact at one point I had a MASTER set of Bret, which is one of every card available in the game. THAT was before the massive influx of 1/1s and he didn't have one yet. Heck until the reboot Bret didn't even have a signature card! So in addition to other sets, I will also go for sets where Bret is the award and it happens more often than you'd think. Those damn Iconic and Legendary awards are tough to get if you don't collect the set.
Bret is the only one I'm still going after every release and I will basically "hoard" all the good female cards and hold them until I can trade them for a Bret Hart. It's super easy to do say a great Tiffany Stratton unlimited Legendary for a /25 Bret or lower.

I do also PC Finn Balor, Becky Lynch, Dannhausen and Hornswoggle. I also have a massive Chris jericho collection and would still like to master him. BUT I don't trade over SRs for them basically, unless I'm offered a ridiculous offer.

What Types of Cards are Available?

First step is knowing what different cards are available.  Basically there are “base cards” and “insert cards”.

The most common type of card is the “base set”.  These come out once per year usually in two series.  They are broken up by “tiers, from One to Five”.  These are very common, and while they’re fun to collect, they are utterly worthless in terms of trade value.  Use them to bolster your rankings but try not to take those trades too seriously.

Now there are BETTER tiers of base cards, Tier Six through Ten are usually harder to obtain and can only be purchased in special card packs on special occasions.  They aren’t usually AS collectible. 

Base cards do not have a global count or a “card count” or CC.  All the other insert cards that aren’t “common” do have a global count and this is where you need to start paying attention to it.

That global count is how many of those cards exist at that time in the entire app.  This really won’t matter in terms of value of the card until it gets down to the under 100 card counts. 

Besides card count, the other insert cards are broken down by rarity.  They go

Common
Uncommon
Rare
Super-Rare
Iconic
Legendary.

In terms of global counts, Commons don’t keep track but are usually in the 30K to 50K, more than enough to go around.  Uncommons can run anywhere between 10K and 30K.  Again more than enough to go around.  Rares start to get a bit more rare, usually between 3K and 10K.  Super-rares 1-3K.  Iconics 100-1000+ and Legendarys are usually <100 these days. 

How do I value these things?

There’s two ways to look at these cards and their value.  One is their internal, in-app value, that is some sort of nebulous pricing that is really subjective within the app itself.  Basically it’s tier for tier, CC for CC, with certain caveats, like the simple women are worth more than men, and the higher the ranking on the card and more popular the person is, the more valuable they’ll be.  Also current stars are more popular than legends with very few exceptions. How to actually figure that out, well it's kind of tough. Don't go offering say, R-Truth for Alexa Bliss even if it's the same tier.

But some of these also have a real cash value outside of the app, i.e. people buying and selling cards outside of the app, which is perfectly legal and not against the TOS), only Iconics and Legendary have any real value.  Full sets of anything Super-Rare and under can be bought for $10 or less when they are released on eBay.

Iconics can be valued usually from a few dollars up to $10-20 for the biggest stars.

Legendarys can go for as cheap as a few bucks up to HUNDREDS for the high end 1/1s. Most legendarys though sell for under $10 if they’re male, under $20 for females.  Depending on the actual number of cards available.  Obviously the lower the better.

Other Value Notes

Bricks, are cards you can't GIVE away. Basically jobbers, NXTers, older legends you probably don't know, Topps 100 and other "free" cards. Dont offer them. ESPECIALLY Topps 100, that set is pure garbage and no one wants it. In fact I deliberately keep them out of my collection, which is bad because people assume I need them and I don't.

PPVs are fun to collect but some folks have an issue with them and don't view them as being worth the same as other sets. YMMV. I don't see it myself. Especially once you get to the higher two tiers. I like the continuity of sets myself. I like that year after year I have a Wrestlemania set and a SummerSlam set. Etc.  Same thing goes for sets that are purely horizontal.

Art cards are RIDICULOUSLY popular in the app. ESPECIALLY the Garbage Pail Kids sets. The older set from pre-blip, is so coveted most of us who own them had to lock them up. The newer set from earlier this year ROCKED the app with /5s and /1s. Ridiculous prices on the secondary market (and from personal experience, they sold well).  Also booklet cards seem to be very popular too.

Speaking of "the blip" Pre2021 cards are WORTH MORE and in far far fewer supply than the CCs appear.

Prior to the app shutting down there were just about 10-12K players left monthly. When the app relaunched in 2025 it immediately hit 30K players, but is now back down to a more reasonable 12-15K. Not everyone came back. Let's be generous and say 75% did. That's still 1/4th of the active accounts not coming back. Or THOUSANDS. AND the older the card, the fewer there are. Some of the 2016 cards are very hard to find these days, especially given those of us who still hve them won't give them up easily.

I mean basically you can get at least a tier up for any older card. And some a lot more. Look at the CC and figure at least half are gone or not circulating because they're locked.

Lastly - try to have fun and don't take it too seriously, but at the same time, respect that some of us DO take it seriously and are in it for the long haul and hve been doing it for too long. There isn't anything we haven't seen trading in this app. So we may appear to be jaded or thick-headed, but when you've just issued your 10th 1 star rating in a row, it does get old.

Tips to make a GOOD Trade Offer

1. Make both sides as even as possible in both value and card count, or even offer your trade partner a better deal than you’re getting.  
2. Make sure they NEED the card too. In the sorting functions of the Trade Screen there’s an option to choose to show only cards that they need, I highly suggest using this feature. There’s nothing worse than being offered cards you already have for your cards that you actually need.
3. Make sure you actually read people’s fan feed posts and don’t offer them stuff they aren’t looking for, or specifically won’t trade. Try not to offer for people’s singles unless they specifically say they’re trading them.
4. Use the comment feature if you’re not sure about the trade value. If you’re new say “I’m new, just trying to make a good trade” or something similar. You can always say “please counter” and see if they will do so.  
5. Start off slowly, don’t start looking for high end cards right away without having something similar in return. Don’t offer any base cards for inserts, that’s a sure way to get low rated.  
6. If you’re brand new to the game you can say in the fan feed “Brand new, offering base dupes for base I need” and you’ll probably even get a few free base cards from players who like to help. I know that I will often give away cards to newer players just because I have so many. Don’t go begging for free cards though, it’s uncouth and will turn people off.  
7. If you have questions about a card value ASK, or look it up on 130point.com or ebay’s sold items.
8. Even if you have no intentions of ever buying or selling on ebay, you can check out current and sold listings for cards and that will give you a good idea of values.  
9. Remember it’s just a game, and don’t let a bad offer or a declined offer get to you. DEFINITELY do not lash out and use swear words or call the other person names. That will get you banned for a day or two and isn’t great.

  

Last Bits of Advice:

Here's the thing, the feed is a wasteland of garbage. You WILL get bad offers on the daily. The trick is to know which ones are bad and which ones to take. LOOK at who's making the offer, check their trader rating. If it's under 4, they're suspect. Look at their cards, specifically how many legendarys do they have. That can tell you how invested in the app they are. You might think someone with a lot may be more difficult to trade with but most of the higher ranked players aren't. It's the lower ranked ones you watch out for! If you get a bad trade from someone with only a few legendarys you know they aren't really a player. If you get one from someone with a ton of legendarys you know they're trying to rip you off and to stay away.

Cultivate friendships in the app, can't tell you how many times I've gotten folks looking out for me, and I try to pay it back as well. If I know someone's an HBK collector, they're more than welcome to all my superflous HBK cards. Ultimate Warrior, I'd GIVE him away. ANd I'll send them the trades. Folks have looked out for me and sent me brets more often than I can remember. Like whenever Brets in a set I know there's a couple folks who go "If I pull him I know who I'm trading to".

Lastly - -IF you can afford to put money in the app itself, I say go for it. BUT be judicious and don't get locked into spending too much because it's a slippery slope (I'm having a very tough time NOT spending right now and I gotta stop). AT the very least buy the $9.99 PREMIUM Season pass when it hits every 45 days or so (one's coming up in the next couple weeks). It is the best value for the dollars in terms of diamonds, and gives you access to a TON of free cards you can't get UNLESS you spend money (i.e. Paywall cards).

There are a lot of folks who won't trade paywall for non-paywall, so it's a good way to get some to trade away.

Some Q&A
1.- Rarity vs. Quantity: Is it generally better to hold onto a single rare/sold-out card, or split it into multiple solid cards?
Rarity always trumps quantity. NEVER trade down. You will almost never get a good trade that way.
2.- "Sold Out" status: How much does a card's value increase once it becomes sold out versus active cards?
This is tricky, because it depends on the card itself. There are cards from very popular sets that will trade for way more than their intrinsic value close to the award dropping. BUT this is an uncommon expererience. Most often once a card is sold out the value is set. That said, it's almost not even a thing people look at. The only thing is that if it's still in packs, it can still be pulled.
3.- Wrestler / Character Popularity: Does the specific featured wrestler usually matter more than the rarity tier itself?
The person on the front is the most important thing in determining value. If it's a top female, it's worth more than a top male. PERIOD. There's no denying it because it's a fact. More people in the app want the women cards and will overpay for them. The tier itself is obviously important as well. But even at the legendary level, a no-name NXT male isn't going to trade at all for a female.
4.- Card Count / Global Count: What is the very first stat you look at when deciding if a trade is fair?
Ultimately CC is the ultimate arbiter. BUT honestly it only matters in the highest tiers. Once you're dealing with Iconics and Legendarys on the regular.
Let me explain. In the lower tiers you can basically figure that most cards are worth more or less the same, i.e. you can trade any one card in the set for any other. In the Uncommon and Rare this is especially true since the tradebot essentially DOES that. Now women will always trade higher, and be more valuable, but you should still be able to trade within the tier easily.
Once you get to Iconic and Above, the person on the card AND the CC count. BIG TIME. There's so many fewer of these higher tier cards, than a 100CC difference is a big deal.
Or look at the Legendarys - MOST of the best Legendarys are under 5 CC. ALmost all of them are under 100, so if you see a Legendary with over 100 you know it's crap (one of the Genesis or freebies).

So once you get high end, you gotta start comping. A good place is 130Point.com. You can find ALL of the ebay sales for a specific card or wrestler in one place with the actual sales price.
Discord is also a place where a ton of sales get made, but that's not my cuppa, so I stay away.
Facebook groups are good too, a couple of BST groups where you can buy both bulk accounts and singles. Legendarys go for as cheap as $5. If you pull a 1/1 thats where to sell it.
