Entering 1st year MBBS — Need tablet advice (Samsung vs iPad)? Please mention exact model names!

Entering 1st year MBBS — as a lifelong Android user who has never owned an Apple product, I'm leaning toward buying a Samsung tablet.

Main usage is watching video lectures, reading heavy PDFs, and handwritten note-taking. Which device offers the best stylus experience for long writing sessions?

Need solid battery life, good storage, and smooth, lag-free performance to survive all 5.5 years of medical school.

As a lifelong Android user, will I miss out on anything major by not buying an iPad, or is a Samsung tablet completely fine?

In Samsung, the Tab S9 series is popular, but since major OS updates end around 2027, is it still worth buying now?

Should I consider any other series , or wait for newer flagship models like the S12 series? Would appreciate exact model recommendations

Joining MBBS as a day scholar—will it hurt my academics or lead to missing critical updates?

I’m entering MBBS soon and planning to be a day scholar.

I’m a homebody who prefers chilling at home over parties or hostel hangouts, so missing social life doesn’t bother me.

My only concern is academics:

1.Do day scholars miss out on crucial academic updates (surprise tests, schedule changes, assignment details)?

2.Does missing hostel late-night group study significantly impact performance?

3.Are there any academic downsides or hidden disadvantages to being a day scholar in medical college?
