New hair transplant
This review is for new hair in Gangnam. Dr. Jino Kim did my transplant with around 1900 grafts. I'm 41. I've always had a high forehead and it was thinning and receding (see pre-op). I've been on finasteride 1mg for many years leading up to the procedure.
I'm from Canada so proficient English was important to me. Dr. Jino Kim was very nice and spoke English well. It seems he did the donor harvesting and slit creating himself. Two technicians did the graft insertions.
Post op there will be 3 days of hyperbaric oxygen.
I paid 5,500 KRW per graft.

Post-op medications regime was a but tough to sort out because the pharmacist didn't speak any English and I was dopy from the benzodiazepines used during the procedure - they helped a lot with passing the time. The surgery bay has a nice window and it was great to be able to watch the clouds rolling by along with some calming music.
They provided me a bottle of hypochlorous acid spray to be used every 30 minutes while awake for the first 7 days, which seems like standard practice to prevent graft desication. Post-op meds included prednisone 60mg on a tapering schedule over 4 days. Loxofen, acetaminophen sustained release, mosaprion, famotidine, cefprozil, and oflxacin ointment to the donor site after showering.
I was looking for a natural looking hairline and he does a good job of introducing irregularity. In other reddit reviews, people have commented saying there isn't enough density, for me, having extremely dense hair wouldn't look natural in my case since my hair is fine and thin at baseline. What impressed me was his results at 1 year with fewer grafts used, this means hopefully more donor sites preserved for the future if my crown area starts to go. Anyway, that's my thesis on why I selected this clinic. Staff have been friendly with limited English.
Post op day 1, my swelling isn't that bad (I've been icing the donor site - never touching the grafts), I bought a pillow to immobilize myself on my back and to sleep elevated and highly recommend something similar.
Too early to tell the final result but I'll try to post again once I'm deeper into the recovery. Overall I feel positive about the experience.
