Just curious
I’ve always loved Brandi’s music and got the chance to see her about five/six yrs ago. What a voice.
Anyway, I know she’s been associated on and off for years with KT Tunstall, who I used to be a sorta fan of.
I recently looked up KT and found that she is a staunch MAGA supporter. I followed her on twitter & right after that, a bunch of MAGA reposts were coming up on my fyp. Turns out it was bc I followed KT and then checked and saw that she was following literally EVERY major MAGA cabinet member. I quickly unfollowed her bc I don’t want to be supporting ANY MAGA believers.
To be fair, I just checked rn & someone has cleaned up KT’s following list. She now still follows a few less MAGA members but, of course, still DJT and Vance.
And some dude the President pardoned. I’m not sure about her insta but if the follower list is the same as her twitter, yuck.
I guess I’m just surprised by and curious about Brandi’s association with her. I’ve always liked KT but now it seems her claims of ally ship might be performative. She is straight but I’ve always felt she was a bit of a poser, dipping her toes into the community in an attempt to profit off of it. And now, as it turns out, she’s straight up MAGA.
We can support who we want but for me, this is a hard no. In case anyone is going to the show where KT opens for Brandi, just thought y’all should be aware. I honestly don’t know Brandi’s politics either but this has got me questioning things. Maybe they’re really good friends and she looks past it. Idk but if Brandi comes around again, I’ll only go see her if there’s a different opening act, preferably one that doesn’t support such vile politics. (no need for me to reply to anyone, just dropping my thoughts here since I’d been listening to Brandi lately & noticed this particular ick, thanks!)
