Weather September 3-6?
Hello!
I’m considering visiting Okinawa around September 3-6. What will the weather be like? Should I not visit then? Thanks!

Just had my R1 with Bain SF for FT AC. When should I expect to hear back? Will they call? Thanks.
Hello, I was just offered an early interview timeline with R1 being August 6 or 7 compared to late August for the regular timeline. This is for the full-time Business Analyst position.
Is there an advantage to choosing the early timeline; am I more likely to get an offer? I’m not 100% set on consulting or McKinsey or anything, so if I choose the regular timeline it could give me more time to get more offers from other companies. I like my current summer internship company and I wouldn’t mind working here again, but I wouldn’t find out about a return offer until September or October and I don’t know how that would align with McKinsey or MBB in general if I get an offer.
I need to confirm if I want the early timeline by tomorrow, so I’m looking to get some input before I decide. Thanks guys!
I was lucky enough to have a BCG partner agree to have a (virtual) coffee chat with me, but I don’t really know what I should be saying during our call. Of course, I’m aiming for a referral (and I’d be happy to put his office as my first choice, so that works out well), but I don’t really know how to steer the conversation towards that. If anyone could give me advice/tips/a roadmap for the call, I would greatly appreciate that! Thanks.
For extra context, I cold outreached to him because his focus area is in the same industry as my current internship. I go to a target school, but he’s not an alum of my school. I’m class of 2027 and planning on applying for the full time associate position, which is due on July 7.
edit: this is for a US office.
I reached out to my McKinsey recruiter (I go to a target school) about recruiting opportunities/events and she encouraged me to apply for their FT BA position now because applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
If I apply now, will I really be able to start the interview process sooner, or are interview invites all sent out on the same date (after the deadline)? I haven’t heard of MBB having a rolling deadline for FT positions so I wanted to check. Thanks!
edit: this is for US offices and the official deadline is August 11.
Hi everybody,
I'm looking to buy my first e-ink device and have no idea what the best options are because I've never owned one before. I want to use it for casual reading of books and comics. I would like a device that has color display and can be held comfortably in one hand (so not too big). What device do you recommend? Based on what I've read, it seems like the best options are the BOOX Palma 2 Pro and the BigMe B6 Color, but they're quite expensive, so I want to make sure I'm making the best purchase. I also don't know if its better to go for a phone-like device or a bigger, tablet-like device. I also don't really care about a stylus or writing capabilities since I only intend to read on it. Thank you in advance!
Hi everybody,
I was just accepted to Harvard Business School's Summer Venture in Management Program. I'm interested in business school, but unsure if I would really want to attend, so this could be a great opportunity for me.
However, I have a really great internship, and I'm worried that attending this program could impact my candidacy for a return offer. I asked my recruiter if there's anything I should know before I ask my manager for time off, and she said that the company tries to limit out-of-office time to three days for interns and they need at least 11 weeks of work to gather enough performance data to make an informed return offer decision. I would have to miss exactly three days of my internship to attend HBS SVMP, and I don't intend to miss any other days, but of course I could run into an emergency or sickness and have to miss another day of work, which worries me.
Is it worth it to do HBS SVMP? Has anyone else here done it and can attest to their experience in asking for time off of their internship?
Thanks!
