Another feelgood movie for the 'modern audience': The Dink (2026)
Injured 47 year old almost-was tennis champ takes up pickleball to rehab and meets a 72 year old recreational player. After a night of line dancing as a favor to make her ex-husband jealous, he proclaims his attraction to her and suggests a romantic relationship. She insists she's not attracted to him and declines. He leaves broken hearted.
They get a lot of mileage out of him only having one close friend. She complains about the same shortcoming with her ex-husband who is now with a younger woman. Men, such losers amiright?
