May I rant?

Why the hell do people expect drivers, if they hit a dog, to pull over and drag it out of the road and go knocking doors to find out who was reckless enough to let their animal roam? No thank you. Its hurt and dangerous with no reason at all to be in the road. I've never hit one myself but i see these shaming posts online where the driver didn't stop. Like, I'm not going to go knocking on doors in the country when they'll likely be irate and blame me anyways. It's bonkers.
