New Acty New Problems
I purchased this 1994 Honda Acty SDX at the very end of February 2026 from my buddies uncle. I had never seen a kei car before moving to Hawaii in 2018, and I never thought it would make sense for me to own one, but the way this one fell into my lap I couldn't say no.
Here's a photo dump from the last two months including an alternator belt replacement, extensive coolant flushes (want to talk about bleeding coolant/clogs/etc lmk), and timing belt/water pump/etc job.
In the cab I've installed seat covers from minitruckseatcovers.com, put a whole killmat soundproofing under the floormats and behind the seats, I installed a flashing 3rd brake light/led bed light, I added a subwoofer to go with the Kenwood stereo/door speakers, and installed some 12v-5v usb c adapters for my wireless phone charger mount and dash cam.
It was completely missing a cv boot, so I'll probably do the rear axles eventually even though I slapped a temporary fix on it for now. I also need to look at tie rods/control arms because the front end feels a little wonky when hitting bumps.
