I think, these are the best settings for Forza Horizon 6 on Z1E 25W

I found those settings very good looking. On top of that i’ve limited my fps to 40 so frametime is really stable and it makes game feel really smooth. I couldn’t achieve stable 60 fps on low settings even on 720p, so I’ve decided to settle down for some compromise, and i think this is it. I don’t use any FG like optiscaler or LS here to get the most stable result. In AMD adrenalin i’ve enabled only radeon antilag and RIS for slightly better sharpness.

What’s the best way of debloating windows with keeping all gaming functionality working properly?

Today I’ve noticed that armory crate somehow doesn’t change properly my amd settings. (Amd global settings live their own life, and AMD overlay always shows fps like AMFM is enabled while it’s completely disabled. AC overlay shows correct fps, tho) And on top of that my gamebar clock doesn’t update. So i think that i went too much on debloating. And now i’m looking for ways to balance it.

My device is white rog ally z1e.

My take on Armory Crate vs Ghelper

After a few videos about ghelper i've decided to give it a shot on my ROG Ally Z1E. Here are my main observations:

  1. Ghelper is really easy to install, and shootout to developers for ability to quickly disable AC instead of removal, so i can always easily come back.
  2. Basically, the thing i wanted to try the most was AutoTDP function. I've noticed that in almost all my games it put much lower tdp than i use in my app profiles (i use profiles for 10,15, 18 and 25W) in AC and achieved jumps between 57 and 63 fps in tested games (i was testing KCD2, Brotato and Stalker 2 (the last one has in-game framegen), all games were from Xbox app, so there wasn't any launcher interfiering this) so it technically a really cool feature. Even though, fps isn't stable, but thanks to VRR it's not that critical.
  3. I couldn't find an option to hide AC from xbox game bar while it's disabled, only uninstalling, which kinda feels weird to me.
  4. Ghelper really lacks an ability to import fan curves from AC. And in AC it's way easier to set up its' points, compared to ghelper.
  5. Most of the time i use my ROG ally in Xbox mode (formerly known as FSE). Due to this and some debloating of stock windows my idle RAM use is around 4.5-5.1 GB. When i switched to ghelper there was no difference in RAM use.
  6. While i kinda liked Ghelper, there are 3 reasons why i moved back to AC:

- Ghelper runs in new fullscreen instance instead of rendering over my games. This goes not just for fullscreen games, but also for borderless windows ones. On top of that, most of games i play don't have borderless window option.
Maybe, this could be resolved for me if ghelper worked as game bar widget.

- lack of per-app profiles. With latest AC updates i found this function very useful as i don't need to open AC widget on every game launch since i've already set it up for every game.

- ghelper uses stock AMD overlay which lacks information like clock and battery level, something i really got used to with AC.

And yeah, Linux is not an option here since i have Game Pass and some Windows-specific software for my job.
