Not many people know this about the new app
I’ve been leaving comments on posts by people complaining about the new BFF app and discovered that not many people know the lore behind the new app. The app didn’t come out of nowhere, it used to be an app called Geneva that was basically, how I’ve always described it, “girly Discord”because that’s what it looked like. It was an invite only app for content creators to connect and talk with other content creators in their niche and area (maybe it was also used for other things akin to Discord, but it was hard to search for other groups since they were invite only, and this was just my personal experience with it). I was on it for years because I worked with Adore Me, we were all talking about how the app was changing in real time, and then it suddenly became the new BFF app seemingly overnight and I haven’t heard from any of those people in the past three months (we didn’t know what was happening, we just knew something weird was happening with Adore Me that they weren’t telling us). So all of our content creator profiles just got magically switched to BFF profiles. So I hope that gives everyone a bit more insight on how weird this whole situation is. In my opinion, I preferred the old BFF app, and it sucks that people joining the app now have this impression of it. It just feels like BFF jumped through hoops to make the whole experience as weird as possible.
Also, R.I.P to the free undies that I will never get from Adore Me again because they also went dark with their creator program.
