- Working on the next EDIT file that I want to release around 16th August (Transfermarkt is down for a few days and its making everything harder)

- Ratings will be revised again after feedback from Mid-Summer 27th July EDIT.

- Gameplay thread will be done, with selection of current gameplays (special Focus on F4L 4.4/5.1 versions as I think they're still the best)

- F4L Facepack thread will be done (higher quality and more updated than FL facepack) as it will be updated in the future.

- Maybe a special small thing by me if I get in time.

Hi everyone again (and sorry for the delay as I mentioned I wanted to release it yesterday night).

It's summer transfer window, baby!

This is an EDIT file with more than 500 transfers made across all the leagues in the game, but with a special focus on European Leagues. It doesn't mean that I didn't touch less known leagues, but you will see that a lot of teams have their squads shaken. Brasileirao Serie A or J1 League were also looked, for example!

I'll tell you that it could include missing transfers/returns or wrong positions for some players. It's an ongoing file that I'll update once more if I want to when the transfer market closes.

WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE

• More than 500 transfers made up to 27/07 on all leagues.
• Includes some of the almost confirmed/negotiations underway transfers by Fabrizio Romano (Barcola to Liverpool, will it happen? High chances)
• More than 150 rating changes according to performances from World Cup 2026 and last season (Cucurella 82 -> 87, Yan Diomande 70 -> 83 and changed to RWF as an example).
• Auto lineups for teams ingame (a lot of lineups are unknown how they will be).
• Squad numbers revised for the confirmed transfers.
• Updated some managers to their new clubs (not so many as a lot of them are missing inside the game)
• Players that didn't renew with their club are free agents.
• Players that were on loan are returned to their main club.
• No new players were created in this EDIT file.
• Promotions/relegations made to the leagues that have first/second divisions ingame (LaLiga/Hypermotion, Ligue 1/2, Serie A/B, Premier League/Championship)

REQUIREMENTS

• Football Life version 2.2: https://www.pessmokepatch.com/2025/10/spfl26.html - For Update 2.2 (under Download tab)
• National squads update from SmokePatch: https://www.pessmokepatch.com/2026/06/FL26WC.html
• If you don't put the national squads update IT WON'T WORK.

You will need to restart your new Master League or BAL Career after putting this.

DOESN'T WORK/DOESN'T INCLUDE

• Doesn't work with UML.
• Doesn't work with Football Life older versions
• Doesn't work with Football Life 26 older updates
• Yes, you will lose any EDIT custom changes you did if you put this file.
• Doesn't include any of the 26/27 kits you're seeing on the screenshots.
• Doesn't include any new league, promoted teams from third divisions or any other division. Stop asking about that.

HOW TO INSTALL

Download the EDIT file and put it in your Documents\KONAMI\eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE\2026\save folder. Overwrite your current one.

Hi everyone... again?

I don't even remember when I left being active here, as many months (or even a year?) has passed since. But... I was really active, as every day I was checking the subreddit, putting the highest filter on common things because you may know that this game was getting some new players from here and there because of the actual football videogame status which is quite the same as always: no alternatives, no improvements, just put thousands of mods to hide the shit (that will resurface anyways) and coming back to the same outdated old games.

And I will keep doing that, because I want the subreddit clean, with quality content and not the same questions over and over again. Don't care if its from new people, there's a FAQ post pinned at the top that will answer 99% of the questions made here. And it was updated multiple times by me these past months.

So, why I'm here again?

Just to clean up and make some statements for everyone. Let me be clear:

• Football Life, so PES 2021, which was made in 2019 after a small update on PES 2020. So our "baby" is going 7+ year old this 2026. If you keep asking for new competitions/regulations, thesource code or super duper gameplay mods, you're on a fever dream. This thing is the same as the last year, and the other one, and the other...
• Yes, Football Life 27 will release around October this year, like the same for every year. Same features as every year.
• No, eFootball still what it is, good game with a simple patch on PC offline, an absolute shitshow online. Switch 2 version for 20€ is quite surprising and fun, but no mods so just a temporary game on library to play 2-3 games a day. EA FC 26 gets tiring after a while, but its the only option if you want updated things. The actual trend is to get back to FIFA 16/17 because (now) they are amazing games compared to EA FC, and FIFA 16 is quite moddable, but for me is just people wandering around on nostalgia talking about "how good were past football games, right?". I would laugh my ass off if we were in 2018 and read people just trashing EA as every year... Now they are marvelous games lmao.
• No, there's no super gameplay mod that fixes your stupid BAL teammates or everyone going 0-0. Stop trying 200 new gameplay mods, anti-cheat, antistupidAIruns, Mega Soccer Revolution Che Guevara Deluxe Edition released yesterday. Just keep 3-4 that you like and mess around until you master them.
• Your game, if you put just the most basic mods, will look great, same as lot of videos uploaded here. You can mess around with ReShade but its just a coat of paint over a last decade game engine, so it just will "fix" the oversaturated colors that PES 2021 always had (compared to PES 2019 for example). No new animations, celebrations, cutscenes or features. The game remains what it is.
• All the things you see in this subreddit, you can make them if you are skilled enough. Curved shots, dribbling, fighting over a ball, headers... If your question is to ask "which gameplay mod are you using? My GaMe dOeSn't do ThIs!" the answer is simple: you're not good enough at the game and against the CPU.
• I'm not talking anymore about the scripting. Get used to it, full stop. That thing exists since more than a decade on football games and its to avoid you winning 38 games in a row on a season, and get tired after that. Same as real football, if you watched this World Cup you've seen more than enough.
• You should go to EvoWeb 99% of the times if you want to discover, discuss and get real info on solutions. And also read properly. Almost all the mods come out there.
• If you want an updated experience just go to UML Discord and get their Football Life version. They are still doing an amazing mod that enhances the Master League, but also new leagues, proper ratings and more. That's why the full combo VirtuaRED + UML tutorial is pinned at the top of the subreddit, too.
• No, there's no way to play 2023/2024/2025 season in FL26 or any classic patch yet. No one is working on a good classic patch for Football Life. And don't try to mix the ones made for PES 2021.
• Same for LigaMX or "I want my country league in the game". MLS stays in FL over Liga MX after it was voted on SmokePatch Patreon. If you want to create your league, you know what to do (fight with ejogc editor and all the things you need to make it work. See you in a year!)
• No, new formats won't be there. The workaround that you already saw for World Cup is just making Europa League 48 team format work, but it has double leg matches and that. So not the full experience, and also you're taking Europa League slot. Same for UCL. Not a real mod will appear unless they crack the source code for PES 2021, which I don't think it will happen (soon).
• "MY STADIUM IS BLACK!" God damn, just check your map_teams.txt line, it's a bad line on that stadium that is not making it work. And also remember saving Sider.ini without admin permissions WON'T save the file. Use Notepad++ to fix that.
• And for the ones that didn't even start installing it: we are in big 2026, if you don't know how to extract a multiple .RAR file from the .part01 ONLY, I don't know how you are even able to manage a computer nowadays.

"Are we getting something from you, Gondo, or this is just it?"

Yes, but just small things.

• As you may know, Football4Life (my big friend!) kept working on its personal facepack for FL26, bringing just pure quality faces for the majority of the players, being a very superior experience than the default Smoke Patch facepack. You can find it already on EvoWeb but I will bring a post here explaining everything, as he gave me green light.
• Also, will remember that his F4L 5.1 Gameplay still exists and still one of the best, so another thread will be dedicated to his gameplays. You have seen it already used on some videos here. Even if the time passes, when a good gameplay is done, it will remain over the time. Its just a videogame, not a living thing...
• I'll make one Summer Soundtrack curated by me, as it was the thing I loved doing the most, and I know you loved them too. There's a lot of bangers out there since I did the last one!

But after that, I'll come back to where I was. To the shadows. Sorry if you were thinking that MegaPatch was going to return in some sort of form.

"And how are you, Gondo?"

• Well, I'm fine, even though life is giving me some advices. I broke my right hand playing as a goalkeeper on a Fut7 team (their striker literally kicked my hand on a crossed ball into the area) that got me a 4cm screw inside my fourth finger, and I'm still recovering from it (it happened in June) so at least I can use a keyboard to write this.
• Also I lived my life, met a girl, dated her, broke the relationship a few days ago because it was beautiful but not feeling it for the long term from her. Sad. We tried, at least.
• Kept recording music with my spanish "rock-whatever" band.
• Started playing DDR (ITG) on an arcade bar here in Barcelona. I like rhythm games.
• Kept playing other games because there's other videogames out there. Also movies, books, whatever. I'm a nerd after all.

So that's all. I won't say its happy to see you all here because I was already watching you, hehe. Just learn how to use Reddit and the Internet, guys! And dreams usually don't make it through, but it's fine. Football videogame status is as the same as general videogame industry, an absolute nightmare. There will be better times, don't worry.
