Bought the book a long time ago, and it seemed overly involved, so on the shelf it went... decided to finally try my hand at it, and put it to use... made a ball chuck (hemisphereical or whatever) just need to grab some tools... before i order them from the UK, was wondering if anyone here had a set they wanted to offload? Added pics of the ball chuck for the hell of it... came out pretty decent, made it out of some really, really dry cherry.

I would have gotten away with that bead too, if it wasn't for you kids and this fat ass 1/2" skew...

20 dollar surprise box off a seller on Etsy. Lid is walnut, not 100% positive about the box material though.

One of the pieces from this weekend. Spalted Tamarind. 5" diameter, 3" tall, wall thickness is about .05" even everywhere. Finished with a home brew polymerized linseed oil mixed with beeswax. Turned out really good i think. Had a bigger lip on the rim, but it was super sharp, and when I hit it with mesh to break/round the edge, it disappeared quick, being that thin...
