Complicated, multi-offer situation involving job switch on SWV

Hi Everyone! I'm looking for well reasoned advice on a uniquely rare and critical career decision.

The Timeline

  1. Basically, back in end of March 2026, I was let go from my company A.
  2. I interviewed, got a few great offers and signed with a company B in the first week of May 2026. At this point, all my offers from seed/series A startups, all with practically the same role, all giving me the same estimates on visa process, a week to process CoS on priority service, another week for the visa, and with another week's buffer, June 1, 2026 start date.
  3. Got my curtailment letter with visa expiration on June 30, 2026.
  4. Company B, then proceeded to use a certain online immigration platform for visa process. This platform seemingly:
    • took forever to submit the CoS application (more than a week after sighing)
    • then had a bunch of back and forth with the Home office (despite using my previous application as a template for their paperwork) that went on for a couple of weeks
    • finally was able to procure a CoS by June 10 (yes, a whole 10 days after I was supposed to start)
  5. Meanwhile, since I wasn't getting any updates from them, I had a ton of back and forth with the CEO about this (considered HPI which was my backup).
    • It was extremely stressful with practically 3 weeks of zero progress just on the CoS
    • Losing my mind and income over the month of June as the deadline approached
  6. Finally had them submit my visa application and did my biometrics last week (June 25 2026) on priority service.
  7. After we missed our June 1, 2026 start date, I was reached out to be some other companies and I now have received an even better offer (~20% more just on base salary) from a company C. The role is similar, but at a bigger, more profitable startup (also series A).

So broadly,

Let go late march -> offer 1 early may (june 1 start date) -> CoS by mid June -> another better offer 2 now -> expecting to start on offer 1 next week -> transition to offer 2 maybe?

My Question

Given that I expect to now start with company B next week, with a substantially better offer and stability prospects from company C, is there a reasonable path to take up on their offer? Given the bizarre delays in procuring CoS, the visa, all the stress and anxiety over the past couple of months, I'm not in the most clear-headed state about this.
