Anyone have success triggering an email to send when an API session modifies a field?

Im trying to automate sending an email with tracking information when a sales order tracking number is updated.

I've built out a trigger off of field validation that works well when a user updates the field (with a quick confirmation step before sending the email).

I want to duplicate the functionality so that my entra app can send a PATCH to update the tracking and trigger the same email to send.

But I keep getting a failed status in the email outbox that says "You are not authorized to access this resource: https://graph.microsoft.com/.default

Anyone run into this?
