Encroaching Hoard

Encroaching Hoard

My own personal house is chock full of stuff. As an aspiring artist who loves to make things out of found objects, there are often piles of things here and there. However, whenever I film myself in my house and post to YouTube, I try a little bit to film in a direction that doesn't show a toppling hoard of garbage just thrown in a corner.

This screenshot could be evidence that Rosie isn't filming for "Dangerously Obese," but rather for a new series of "Hoarders," where Lee is valiantly pushing piles of garbage from three generations of Mormons while Rosie picks up package after package from her PO box.

The tilted lampshade really sets the mood. No, kids, don't straighten that out, it might show a little bit of effort in your content creation.

The Enthusiastic Lying by Rosie and Lee

The main thing about the "My boyfriend is here with me" vlogs is how enthusiastic both Rosie and Lee are about lying to her audience. The A-Team-like planning on getting her boyfriend from hiding in the bedroom and talking on chat to throw off the scent of....Mormon missionaries or PO Box glitter or something...the bossing around of her brother, who just wants to mow the lawn. The utter glee with which they both are 100% okay with making up fake stories directly to her chat and expecting no pushback at all.

It's rather disturbing to me, if I think about it for even a few minutes. Disclose what you want to disclose or not, but this subterfuge and then the reveal as if they performed the World's Saddest Magic Trick is sad and should make her audience distrust her even more.

Nobody Else Gets "Bullied"

Over 10 years ago, I decided to grow my hair out long and talk about the advice and pitfalls I saw as a guy over 40 growing long hair (long hair videos for men were trending back then, so I figured if I was going to grow the hair, I might as well make some content)

Every video upload, I got really supportive comments, some questions, and a whole lot of really miserable, angry, insulting, and somewhat scary comments. People had things to say about my looks, my age, the reason why I was growing hair, whatever.

It wasn't fun, but it wasn't all that bothersome to me, since YouTube comments can be blocked or ignored (I generally just ignored them, because the more supportive folks who watched generally took care of the "haters" in responding to comments). I suspect it's exactly the same for every other person who dares to put their content online.

Why, then, does Rosie (and others we know) think that negative, "bullying," insulting comments are something reserved for her? It's baffling to me that anyone could be on YouTube for any length of time without knowing that everybody gets this treatment? How can you have such large followings across so many platforms without knowing that you can't stop people from being mean and getting personal about it?

As Tim Gunn would say, "That's a lot of look."

The glasses chains, the red chef's hat with her channel name, the kids' sparkly headband, the half-on, half-off neurodivergent cosplay headphones, all in your kitchen. I mean, dress for the job you want, but we could maybe consider a style update?

Sugar Baby Arc?

This isn't "unboxing" content, this is purely pitting her audience members against one another to see who can get the most over-the-top "appreciation" on camera, complete with dry-eyed crying and poverty claims.

Has TLC Called?

Rosie is heavily leaning on "I need to get ready for something that I CANNOT TALK ABOUT and I WON'T TALK ABOUT and when you start seeing changes in me, I can't talk about them at all, because of reasons I can't talk about."

I think TLC finally got their mitts on her and Remily and they'll be featured as another "large person with super skinny partner who just need the help of Dr. X to change their lives" show, and filming starts around the beginning of next year.

I have exactly zero evidence to support this, but the one thing Rosie has been very good at is repeating her story in media with increasingly large audiences. I think the Pearadise cameo was the final "i" to be dotted, and she's going to show us all on national TV!

If I was going to spin this out further, I'd say Barry was her producer, but maybe that's going too far, LOL. The whole story is probably just me being bored and making things up, but I just have a feeling.

Transformation Into Chantal Progressing Nicely

I don't know, if i wanted to distance myself from Gorl World, I wouldn't turn off my camera and keep talking to my chat from the toilet, but I guess that's part of the contract? Congratulations, Chantal! I mean....Rosie! You're progressing along the GW timeline at lightning speed.

Do you suppose it's to make Lee excited, to talk to his girlfriend while she's naked with the camera off in front of strangers on the internet? I think there's some of that going on.
