Cloudy Water

Had our hot tub delivered last week and just been away for two days! After returning, the water was cloudy like the first image (the yellow line is reflection from brickwork). I tested the water and the chlorine was low. It was also foaming when the jets are on.

I swapped out for a new file, put in some chlorine, ph minus and non shock chlorine granules. It appears to have cleared up slightly after 2 hours. My plan was to leave the tub open, drop the temp to 30 degrees and leave it on filtering overnight? Do you think the water can be saved or refill needed?

Cloudy Water

Got our hot tub last week and we went away for 2 days. Opened up the tub today and the water is cloudy (the yellow part is the reflection from the sun on our house) noting that the chlorine levels had dropped.

I have topped up all the chemicals now, cleaned the filter and add non shock chlorine granules.

Roughly how long does it take of the water to clear up again and would you keep the jets constantly running to turn it clear again? Photo taken after 20 min jet cycle with all the chemicals in it.

Advice on quotes

Hey, we have had two quotes from local installers! Just want to check which is the best value for money and if these are on the high side or reasonable? Our anticipated future usage is around 5000kWh (day) and 2000kWh (ev charging)

Quote 1 - £12,250 (7.14kWh solar and 13.5kWh battery)

14x Aiko Netostar 2s 510W

1x Tesla Powerwall 3

Quote 2 - £12,936 (6.79kWh solar and 18.08kWh battery)

14x Aiko Neostar 3S54 485W

2x Sigeneergy Sigenstor BAT 10.0 (9.04kwWh) + 6kW inverter

Both quotes include access, bird protection etc.
