CRPS possible misdiagnosis

Hi friends! It’s been almost 4 years since an injury to my foot happened at work. In between that time the pain from my foot now rises to my back. Initially, the doctors that WC sent me too tried to close my case and said there was nothing wrong with me. I was devastated because I knew what I was feeling. Well I read the fine print and got me a lawyer. It’s been an uphill battle but I’m trying to see the light come through when it does. I think today is one of those days and I’m grateful.

I’ve seen 3 different pain doctors, two specialists and two QME’s now. Today I was able to see a neurologist and although CRPS is not completely ruled out it does bring me some relief that it may not be CRPS and perhaps something different (I’ll know when I get my results) but this moment has taken almost 4 YEARS.

I’ve read so many stories about CRPS and my symptoms match up but in the back of my mind I’ve always been hopeful that this is not CRPS.
I wanted to come here and tell you a bit of my story because I hope it will help someone out there who might even have the slightest doubt or feeling like giving up. Please don’t. Listen to your body. Be patient, find a way to calm your nervous system. Find that ground. Be your biggest advocate. You deserve to live a full life. I’m still battling these symptoms and pain but I’m hopeful for the best case scenario.

Question about C&R

In CA can you use your private insurance after a C&R settlement? I’ve read online that you can and I’ve also been advised that you can but I read here that you cannot.
