WeChat removes leading zeros from my phone number and I can’t verify my account

Hi everyone.

A few months ago, my WeChat account was restricted, and now I’m trying to remove the restriction.

The problem is that if a phone number starts with **00** immediately after the country code (for example, **+XX 00…**), WeChat automatically removes those zeros during verification. As a result, my phone number becomes incorrect, and I can’t receive the SMS or complete the verification.

This doesn’t seem to be specific to my country—the issue appears to affect any phone number where the national number begins with **00** after the country code.

I’ve already contacted WeChat Support, but they still haven’t replied.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there any solution?

How should I enter my passport name? Getting “information must be consistent” error

Hi everyone,

I received access to download my JW201/JW202 documents, but I’m getting the following error:

“Passport name, passport number, email address and other information must be consistent with the information filled in the application material you submitted to the university applied.”

I’ve tried entering my passport name in different ways (SURNAME GIVEN NAME, with and without my middle name, different capitalization) and also tried different devices and browsers, but nothing works.

Does anyone know the correct format for the passport name? Or has anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

Failed Interview – Final Rejection?

Hi everyone,
I’m in the following situation: I applied for a CSC Type A scholarship. In mid-June, I was contacted by a university ranked in the Top 400 worldwide (I think this detail is important) and was invited to an interview (面试).
The day after the interview, I received an email saying that my application status had been changed to “Rejected.”
My question is: does this mean the university’s decision is final, or is there still a chance they could reconsider my application after the entire admission process is over?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience or knows someone who has.
