Differences in editions and variants

Hello! I finally got around to reading the grishaverse this year, starting with the SoC duology.

I live in a country where bootlegs and fake copies are abundant and often sold at the price of official books, and thus it's sometimes hard to tell if you have a real copy, or just a high quality reprint, and I have found obvious fakes before of other books.

I bought the SoC duology from here for the full proper price and I thoroughly enjoyed it and everything seemed well, the maps were high quality and so did everything else, none of the usual marks of the fake reprints (shoddy printing quality, mismatched publishers on the inside and on the cover, etc). After a while I ordered the SaB trilogy, and when they came they were clearly fake, all three books had a different publishing house on the inside than the outside, they had the eISBN information, the maps were printed much smaller than the page, and some other mistakes. I returned them and was given my money back and all was good, but I couldn't find any copies that are better.

Recently I was able to purchase a copy of the box set from a different country and when it arrived I confirmed I was right about the previous set I had gotten, but now I'm also suspicious of my SoC duology for one specific reason, the SaB trilogy has a shorter front cover to reveal a bit of the colored page behind it, and the back of the books show that all of the main series has that too, but my copies of the SoC Duology don't have it, they're just the cover over the whole page like a regular book, is this normal? Is this a real variant or did I get scammed and not realize? It's not a big problem but I am a lil curious

TLDR My copy of the SoC duology doesn't have the lil reveal of the colored page behind the cover, but the SaB trilogy does, is this a regular variant or did I get a fake SoC print?

AMD vs Intel Strix G16

Hey! So I'm currently deciding between two G16's, and was curious to see some opinions. The ones I've picked out are are identical except for chassis and cpu, one has a Ryzen 9 9955hx3D, and the other has an ultra 9 275hx, both come with a 5070 ti, now I know that the Intel model has the newer chassis with the vapor chamber and the toolless back design, but I've seen that the amd runs cooler and performs better in games, and I don't really care about unscrewing the back if i want to access the storage or ram.

My use case will mostly be games, so that's what I care about most, but specifically I worry about the temps because I live in an already hot country and I want this laptop to last me 4-5 years.

Are the temps really that much better in real world use? and is the performance difference that big?

I also found a Ryzen 9 9955hx non-3d for a fair bit cheaper, and saw online that the difference in performance compared to the 3D is mostly minimal, with only a couple cpu intensive games having a meaningful difference, so would that be a better option?

Thanks in advance!

Is this a good deal for a G16?

I'm looking to buy a new laptop, and I came across a G16 G614FR-VG16W with an r9 9955HX non 3d, 5070 ti, 16gb ram and 1tb ssd and a 2.5k 240hz display for 2340 USD. Is this a good deal? For reference, I'm mainly going to be using it for gaming, and some video editing, and it would live at my desk for the most part so i don't care much about battery life outside of it existing. I still need it to be a laptop because i occasionally travel and would need to carry it with me. I also don't really care about fan noise.

Are the temps good? Is the liquid metal likely to leak? I mainly worry about reliability because repair costs are extremely high where I live, so I want something that can realistically live for about 4-5 years.

Also, I tried looking for an Intel model since ive heard better things about it, but couldn't find one near me, I also couldn't find an X3D model of the cpu. Should I go for it or look elsewhere?

I did find an acer predator neo 16s with an ultra 9 275hx and 32gb of ram for about 120 dollars cheaper, would that be a better deal?

Is this a good deal for a Vector A16HX?

I'm looking for a new laptop, and I found a deal for an A16HX(A8WHG-004US) for 1875 USD Ryzen 9 8940HX 5070 Ti 16gb ddr5 1tb ssd QHD 240HZ Is this a good price for it? I'm looking for something that could last me 4-5 years comfortably, I won't be moving it from my desk very often, but occasionally i need to travel so i need something i can take with me, so I'm not too worried about external build quality outside of the hinges. I also was curious about the temps? I've seen people say this laptop starts getting very hot a year or two into use, is this a reoccurring problem or am I just seeing unlucky people? I want something reliable as I probably wouldn't be able to afford repair costs. Should I go for it or look for something else?
