If i had to kill a youkai outside of the human village posing a threat to its inhabitants, i would use fairies for the job. To be specific, these fairies would be tiny adult fairies the size of a inchling and they would be intelligent, powerful, mature and cunning. They would be able to hide in the ground and the fauna of Gensokyo with them actually acting as spies. Once the time is right, the youkai would be lured out and a quick kill would interfer with its life.

How would you do it and why?
