Getting back to Six Lakes TH from Muskrat Lake via the PCT.

Just hit up the new Elmer's across from Riverhouse for the first time. I'd say this is an excellent new entry in the "basic diner breakfast" category. Cleaner/nicer setting than Jake's, doesn't blare horrible auto-tuned 'country' music like Laurie's. D&D is also great, but I'd put them more in the "dive bar breakfast" category.

Service was excellent, food was solid. If you're into a basic diner experience, give them a try.

I have overnight passes reserved for 2 different trips the next 2 weeks: a 40 mile loop in the south part of the wilderness this week, and the Three Sisters Loop the next week. Usually, I would not consider going into this part of the Cascades in July- especially that southern loop- due to mosquitoes. But I'm wondering if it's less awful than usual due to the low snowpack. Anyone have an direct experience to share from these areas in the last 2 weeks? How bad are they?

... I just went to Super Burrito westside. Got a $13 super supreme with asada, and got charged.... $5.50. 'Cause it's cinco de mayo. Left a fat tip. If your dinner plans aren't decided tonight, then, damn... hard to beat!

Anyone know what's going on with Lucy's Taco Shop? I've seen them closed more than once during hours they should be open. I also heard the one in Redmond closed. This place has been my go-to for burritos for a while and the drive-thru is hard to beat. Hoping this isn't a permanent thing...?
