What are the resources that feeds Quareia course?

Hello guys, newbie here again!

As I started to practice with Quareia for real practice, I also started reading some materials about the history of magic. I have started with Justin Sledge's (aka The ESOTERICA, Youtube Channel) recommendations. And a question occured to me:

As i understand this thing of ours is mostly fueled by belief, will and potentially getting in touch with other realms, being an armchair magician is just knowing the taste of ingredients without eating the food. But I would really like to know what historical resources fueled this course, how did the material picked, what are the main books inspired JMC and FA?

If anyone could help with these questions I would be really glad. Thank you in advance!

New apprentice here, question about the meditation

Hello everyone I have just started my journey with quareia but right at the start something felt confusing:

"Once your arm is tired, drop your arm and keep focusing on that spot on your forehead. See yourself breathing in white smoke and breathing out grey or black smoke."

This part of the first meditation came weird to me, I have done vipassana meditation before but focusing both on the forehead spot and visualising the smoke feels hard and makes me out of focus on my meditation. Am i doing something wrong, should i just focus on breathing-visualising or focus on the forehead point? Or am i doing it right but i should just try again and again? What is your opinion

Edit: Thank you people for all your kind comments!
