Tips to prepare for a situation that may make you faint?

Those whose fainting is triggered by anxiety-provoking situations, how do you prepare to try to avoid fainting or manage the effects if you do?

I’ve got a blood draw and a dentist appointment coming up (triggers for me), and I’m trying to do everything I can to hopefully stay conscious through them. I’d love everybody’s best tips, and I thought I’d also share what has sometimes helped me (although clearly not always).

- I always tell medical professionals I may faint, and always make them give me a place to lie down.

- I have someone with me to drive me home in case I faint, because I feel totally awful and sick afterwards.

- I find it helps to confront the anxiety ahead of time, not just try to push it down and hope I won’t experience it. That tends to lead to a sudden rush of panic that immediately makes me faint.
