Job offer in late stage of grace period
Hi all, I have an unexpected interview opportunity. What is the best approach with my scenario?
Last day of grace period: June 4, 2026
Likely to receive an offer: By end of this week
I understand that with all the paper work/LCA, the new employer (Fragomen is likely the attorney office) might not have enough time to file H1b transfer before the deadline. I was originally planning to file B2 COS and already have all the documents ready to file. Should I hold on to my B2 COS application and file if needed in the very last few days? Worst case scenario, is "waiting for H1b transfer process to complete" an acceptable reason for B2?
