CX987 / CX715 A330 configuration: how reliable are advance seat maps?
Hi everyone, looking for some insight into CX A330 assignments on CTU-HKG (CX987) and HKG-SIN (CX715) for a trip in March 2027.
Both flights are currently showing the 2-2-2 regional recliner. However, recent operating history looks quite different between the two routes, with CX987 appearing to consistently get the regional/recliner configuration, while CX715 has mostly been operating with lie-flat seats.
For those familiar with CX fleet planning, how reliable are these A330 configurations several months out?
Does CX715 commonly get loaded as 2-2-2 far in advance and then switch to lie-flat aircraft closer to departure? And does CX987 ex-CTU generally tend to get the regional recliner?
I know equipment can always change, and there’s also the Aria Studio retrofit starting in late 2026 (although March 2027 seems a bit early to reliably expect it). Mainly trying to get a sense of what my chances are.
