Elevated heart rate
I had ACDR at c5-6 3 weeks ago. I have had an elevated resting heart rate everyday since and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing? I’ve had scheduled in-home physical therapy appts where they won’t work with me because my heart rate won’t go down. I was sent to the ER a week ago and my resting heart was 145, but it seems to hover at 115 with higher spikes. They did an ekg, ct scan of my neck and ct scan with contrast of my chest, along with tons of blood tests. Everything was normal and I don’t have any blood clots. I did read that they move the vagus nerve over for surgery and if it’s irritated then it can cause an increased heart rate. I definitely feel swelling/like there’s something stuck in my throat still. I just would really like to not have a stroke or something. I’m waiting on next steps from my pcp, but I’m just wondering if anyone experienced the same.
Side note: I found out that my jugular vein is not in a normal place and the surgeon was very adamant that any surgeons going forward need to be told this. Makes me wonder if they accidentally almost cut it or something. I guess it’s toward the front of my neck and less protected.
