Planned to hike strawberry peak tomorrow morning and saw that google maps said there was a road closure. Is this true and is there another way to get up there?

Just got mine in store for $80. Has anyone had this one before? I plan on using it for snowboarding, hiking, and casually for rain do you think it'll perform well in these conditions? Please help!
