Most of the posts I see keeps missing the most important aspect of the frame.
It is an open system.
You get a preinstalled computer with peripherias for a VR experience.
But you own the whole thing. It has pcie connectors, root has no password you can do whatever you want.
I move in engineering communities and the frame has infinite potential for hardware accessories and software ricing.
My friend instantly started thinking about how to install nano oled screens on it as well as other industrial 3D printing accessories as both iFixit has detailed videos and the CAD files are available online.
I have installed damn nyancat on it and played it for 2 minutes while I showed it to my friends.
I can even host websites on it with nginx as long as its on wifi, or even put smart home features controlls on it.
In my opinion to have plain "sudo su -" root access on a device like this justifies the price. Yes it should have come with the ergonomics kit by default even with a higher price tag but that is an another story.
The frame is a textbook example of the level of freedom that is even present in car tuning communities with well known models of certain manufacturers.
