Nice Russian olive stave.

Russian olive was the first wood I ever made a bow with, I really love the heart wood color and I would love to make an English long bow with this piece, I’m sure it would perform best wide and flat but I would love to hear anyone’s experience with Russian olive for bow making!

100# pvc Manchu bow

Here is a bow I finished a while ago! Probably the PVC bow I’m most proud of. pulling 97 pounds at 30”

Sword identification?

Does anyone know what this could be? It is a smaller katana or wakazashi but with the blade on the inside of the curve, like a sakabato

There is some Japanese characters on the blade and the tsuba has a dragon and samurai motif

The ito wrapping is surprising tight and it looks like real ray skin, but the fittings are quite loose I’m not sure if this is high or low quality
