Toddler is loosening Graco Easy Turn

We have the Graco easy turn car seat. My son is 22 months and is currently rear facing. Over the last month, he’s figured out how to basically uninstall his car seat. He kicks at the “snug ride” latch until it lifts up and the car seat comes loose from the seatbelt. He also kicks the back of the seat so hard that his car seat has reclined on its own before. We’ve had to pull over multiple times this month mid-drive to fix the snug ride latch and re-tighten the belt.

We were planning to keep him rear facing well past 2, but I’m nervous it might be causing more harm than good to keep him rear facing since he’s managing to loosen his car seat regularly. He is about 36 inches tall and 30lbs. We are considering turning him to forward facing at 2, but I am worried that’s too soon. Any one else deal with this, or have any advice?

Moving from grade 9 to 11?

Not a brand new teacher but still a young-ish teacher. I’m on year 8.

I just accepted a position at my dream high school, but I’m moving from grade 9 to grade 11. I used to teach an elective, so I have worked with grades 9-12 before, but I feel like I work best with younger high/upper middle school ages, and I’m nervous about having ALL 11. Still, it is beyond worth it to get into this school. The classes are mostly honors.

Any tips or words of advice?
