Is there a fast and clever way to deep clean the squirrel cage once it's out of the unit? The best method I've found has been to soak it in hot soapy water, then spray it out with a high pressure garden hose, soak again, and then meticulously scrub every single fan blade with a tiny bottle-style brush that's just the right size.

The only problem is that last step, scrubbing the whole cage, while very effective, probably takes me as long as the entire rest of the disassembly and reassembly.

Granted, soaking and spraying got 90% of the gunk out, but there were still black spots stuck on there that only came off with the brush.

What about pressure washing? Has anyone tried that? Any other ideas?
