I am going good to be in Paris for the next 2 days and plan to do all touristy things including the Eiffle tower, Notre Dame, Louvre etc.

Has anyone who has been there recently experienced any unrest due to the student protests?

Is it safe to move around the city and use public transport (RER, Metro etc)

I am planning to travel to Italy with a tour company and applying for my visa at VFS global in India.

However I am planning to purchase my flight tickets on my own as I may decide to go to Canada after my Europe trip to see family.

But I don't want to book those tickets just yet as that plan is still in the making, and also don't want to delay in applying for my visa. For the purposes of the visa, is it allowed to buy refundable tickets (beetween EU <> India) and then change them later (EU<>Canada<>India) so long as you are still entering and exiting on the dates you mentioned in your plan and staying for a maximum time in the country you specified? Do they care if you change flights and go somewhere else after you exit the Schengan area?

Hi, I rent in Mississauga a 1+den at 2350.

With the rental prices going down would it be a good idea to renegotiate the rent with my landlord?

I started with this rent at the end of 2024 and my landlord has not increased it ever since. I live in a non-rent controlled building.

Other units in my building with similar square footage at going around 2200-2350.

So I'm not far off from what people are paying in my building but I think I cna save $50-100 a month.

I also fear that this may stain my relationship with my ll and I'm nit really keen on moving.

Has anyone successfully negotiated like this with their ll? Thanks!
