Pioneers Kickstarter has ended! 580% Funded. Update 28

Thank you

Tamers! We meet again once more, after an incredible and intense month, in the place where the magic's happened, to say thank you again.

We are absolutely and completely floored. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve officially cleared every single stretch goal, including the PvP Playground! The definitive version of this game is now a reality. We can’t wait to bring every piece of this vision to life for you, and with you!

Every new game project you start is a thrilling, but also scary venture. We're thoroughly blessed to have such a caring and enthusiastic community, who have once more proven they are excited to embark on a new adventure. And boy, are we making an amazing new adventure for you!

Late Pledges

Some of you have, in these last few chaotic days, asked us for an extension on the Kickstarter. We're very happy to temporarily open late pledges for those who missed backing Temtem: Pioneers during the live campaign period.

If you're still interested in supporting the development, grabbing Kickstarter exclusives, or getting access to the Alpha when it launches, late pledges are available for a limited time only!

Next steps

The time of truth has come! If you backed during the Kickstarter campaign, you will no longer be able to make changes to your pledge. Additionally, Kickstarter will start billing down the pledged amounts over the next few days, so you'll see the transaction fo through.

As for us! Our poor hearts need some rest after this rollercoaster of emotions, so we'll be gathering our bearings for a few days after this! Catch up on lost sleep, fix the back problems caused by hunching over a screen for a whole month straight, and step out into the sun for a while.

That is not to say we'll stop working, though! We're going to start setting up the Discord server so that we can start sending out the links to join with your assigned roles. We have to set up the infrastructure for it, so all you have to do is chill, wait, and make sure our e-mails reach you.

Once that's done, we're going to start sending out the digital keys for Temtem and Temtem: Swarm. This will happen over the course of a few weeks, but we'll make sure to keep you informed every step of the way.

With all our love and our deepest, deepest gratitude, we now declare this Kickstarter campaign, this moment of love, excitement and community support, complete!

Thank you so much, Tamers! 💖🏕

Pioneers Kickstarter Update 26: "The benefits of being a Backer"

Hi Tamers! We’re just one day away from the end of the Kickstarter campaign!!! Exciting! To all of you who are already here, thank you! And to those of you who are still on the fence, we’ve prepared this update with all the benefits you can reap from becoming a Temtem: Pioneers backer. Tons of juicy, exclusive rewards are in your future, so please take a look!

In the chaotic world of Discord, you can stand out by claiming your status and your colors! Depending on the tier reward you choose, you’ll unlock exclusive roles: Scout, Trailblazer, Pioneer, or even the Devotee role! These aren’t just fancy words, they grant you entry into the exclusive Backers channel, which is where you’ll see more of the dev team active, especially throughout the rest of development for Temtem: Pioneers. Backers also receive exclusive updates that won’t be for the public eye, and we might occasionally give you a peek behind the curtain and a first look at concept art that we only share with our inner circle.

The roles and their colors are set and waiting for you!

Want to play the game before the official launch? Pledge at the Pioneer level and you can join up with your fellow Pioneer and above backers to get the first experience with the game by claiming your Alpha Access. Be the first to catch Bellora, Najaria, or any of your new favorite Tems releasing in Pioneers and the first to build your home in the Downbelow! This is the earliest chance to step into the world of Pioneers and you won’t just be playing, you’ll be helping us shape the experience with your feedback.

Of course, we can’t forget a delightful part of any Tamer’s journey: the fashion! By backing the campaign at different tiers, you’re snatching up those exclusive Kickstarter cosmetics that won’t be available anywhere else. The Belt Bag, Hat, Toolset, and Home Statue are unique, non-tradable cosmetics that are designed to make you stand out in every server you join, showing that you were here with us from the beginning. Once the sun sets on this Kickstarter, these styles go into the vault forever, so this is your only window to snag them, if you haven’t already!

We’re bringing back an absolute legendary part of the original Temtem journey and Backers only will get to vote on the official names for at least two Temtem debuting in Pioneers. Years from now, when you're battling with those Tems, you can tell everyone, "Yeah, I helped name that."

Let’s talk Pansuns…or in this case real money. While we haven’t locked in the final retail price yet, we can tell you for certain that the Kickstarter price is the lowest it will be for a long time! Early bird gets the worm and all that, except this time the worm is a Tamer’s discount that serves as a thank you for your early support and confidence in what we’re building!

Beyond the main perks, joining the campaign unlocks a few "hidden" treasures too! By backing now, you’re securing a permanent digital legacy with your name immortalized in the game’s credits (Trailblazer tier and above), literally making yourself a part of Temtem history forever. This is the ultimate “I was there” moment! Once the campaign ends, these specific rewards, exclusive roles and cosmetics, and temtem naming rights vanish for good. It’s a one-time opportunity to prove you were part of the community from day one, grabbing a piece of the history that could only be obtained here and now, and having it become a treasured memory later down the road!

Naturally, we hope this helped you want to become a Backer, and we can assure you the rewards are really worth it!

We understand it's a leap of faith, but we're confident in ourselves and believe we have yet another great adventure in our hands!

With only one Stretch Goal to go, and a little under 24 hours, the stakes are higher than ever! You can discuss all this in our Discord server, with other Tamers and us devs!

And if you can, add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! It's the next best thing after backing our Kickstarter campaign <3

Pioneers Kickstart Update 25: "SG #6 - Customizable Game Modes: unlocked!"

You guys absolutely rock! Very soon after hitting the Auri and Iris Stretch Goal, we're back here again reaching 500% funding and another completed Stretch Goal! The customization of servers will be a reality in Temtem: Pioneers!

We were particularly excited about this Stretch Goal because it’s going to give you so much control over your player experience that you might feel like you and your friends aren’t even playing the same game! We know there are many kinds of players out there, and we want to give you the opportunity to tailor the game to your liking, as much as possible!

While we haven’t progressed really far with this feature, with it being one of the last Stretch Goals, we can share some of our current plans with you! This Stretch Goal is sort of a two-in-one deal: on one hand, you get to customize your server. You’ll be able to create servers with the ruleset you prefer, and adapt the experience to your and your friends’ preferences.

There will be many server settings that you can adjust, and these can be mixed and matched however you prefer! Here are a few ideas we have so far, to give you some examples:

Enemy HP and Damage: You’ll be able to choose how tough enemy Tems will be in the world by modifying their total HP and Damage output

Amount of enemies: Make your Downbelow more or less populated!

Enemy aggression: Want a bit more or less of a challenge? With this slider you can choose how aggressive Wild Tems will be. They could be set to attack you on sight or ignore you completely.

Raids or no raids: We still haven’t decided on whether we want to include raids or not, or under which conditions. One thing we’re sure about is that, if they end up being in the game, they will be a setting to toggle on or off depending on your preferences.

Endless resources: Want to craft endlessly and live a life of comfort? Enjoy endless resources and skip the gathering!

Building stability: You’ll be able to toggle off the need for providing support to your buildings, giving you more freedom to let your design dreams run wild!

Easier healing and reviving: Healing and reviving your Tems after they’re defeated in battle is a bit tougher in the Downbelow due to the lack of Temporiums and HealStations, but with this setting you decide if that’s the case or not!

Permadeath: For the thrill-seeking Tamers out there, turn on permadeath to have your fainted Temtem remain fainted forever. Not for the weak of heart!

Friendly Fire: Simple and self-explanatory! Tamers can damage each other’s Tems in the midst of battle or choose to battle other Tamers in PvP. You fight using your own Tems and their level, training and stats will be the ones your Temtem actually has.

World Resources: Increase the spawn rates of resources throughout the Downbelow, including plants, trees, rocks, and drops from defeated Tems.

EXP Share: While we haven’t settled on a Default setting for this, you’ll be able to choose whether EXP is shared between your Tems and even how much.

Items dropped upon death: The default for this will be that nothing is lost, but for those who lean a little more hardcore, you’ll be able to choose if all items are lost or a few random items are lost.

Capture Chance: Want to just throw your TemCard and capture everything in sight? This setting will make it possible!

Since we’re still defining these features, and we’ve created a Kickstarter campaign, we’d love to hear your suggestions for more slider and toggle options that you’d like to see in Temtem: Pioneers! We can’t promise they will all come true, but we’re eager to hear what you think!

On a second hand, we will also provide curated, pre-set game modes with their own rulesets. We’ve already envisioned a Nuzlocke mode and a Creative mode.

Nuzlocke mode started as a self-imposed challenge with strict rules, but it became really famous and for a while now many games have actually incorporated it! Temtem had its own Nuzlocke mode, and although we’re not sure how we’re going to apply the rules in Pioneers yet, we’re certainly going to try!

Nuzlocke rules are as follows: you can only catch the first Temtem you find in each area, and if your Tems faint during battle you can’t use them again.

As you can imagine, it gets pretty tough and challenging, even right from the start, but for the trial-loving Tamers out there it can be extremely entertaining. We’re happy to be able to provide another properly integrated Nuzlocke mode again!

Creative focuses on building to your heart’s content. Free of limitations and building support; endless resources, all sets unlocked immediately. Basically everything related to building, housing and furnishing at your fingertips! Build the structures of your dreams, from dainty mansions to ominous towers.

We wish we had more pretty pictures to show you this time around, but we promise to show you some as we work and progress on this feature.

Thank you so much for making this possible! You’ve proven to us time after time that you’re an amazing bunch, but we still get so impressed with your display of love and support!

This has been a huge update to drop on you, and the unveiling of the final two Stretch Goals! You can discuss all this in our Discord server, with other Tamers and us devs!

And if you can, add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! It's the next best thing after backing our Kickstarter campaign :)

Now we’re onto the PvP Playground Stretch Goal for the diehard PvP fans who want to test themselves against other players in a space specifically designed for combat. Only two days left in the Campaign! Can we make it, Tamers?

Let’s work hard and Temtem up!

Pioneers Kickstarter Update 23: "The bounty of the Downbelow! Gathering and resources"

Hello, Tamers! With only 3 days left of the Campaign we’re making sure we cover the entire gameplay loop in Temtem: Pioneers, so today we’ll be talking about the gathering of resources and the many ways to use them you’ll have!

Resources are a key piece in your Downbelow journey, and they’re the fuel for everything you do! Want to create Trinkets? They’re crafted with resources. Want to capture Temtem? TemCards are also crafted with resources. Want to have a Mount? The saddle is crafted with resources, and so forth and so forth!

Resources cover a wide array of items: there’s wood, stones, crystals, ores, mushrooms, berries… A single element can drop different types of resources, too, like a bush dropping fiber and berries.

Some of the resources you find in the Downbelow can be simply picked up from the ground without the need of a tool, but many will require a tool before they can be farmed. Take a look at some of the beautiful drops you can find across this wild world!

The poop is the most popular resource in our company at the moment

As for actually gathering, picking them up from the ground is simple enough, but the ones that require tools also have a gathering minigame associated.

You’ll see some focus points, and if you manage to successfully hit most of those, you’ll get a multiplier on the resources obtained. You can totally ignore this minigame if you’re in no rush and want to farm them relaxedly, but for those looking to optimize their gathering this is the way!

We can’t show you the farming minigame in action yet, as it’s not complete, but we’ll promise to showcase it in the future!

Your tool matters! You’ll start off with the most basic of tools, but you’ll have to improve them if you want to be able to farm higher-level resources! And what will you need to improve your tools? You guessed it: resources.

Big axe... small axe...

The resources dropped after using a tool against an element will magically pick themselves up and go straight into your inventory! Keep an eye on your inventory, though, as it can be filled and you won’t be able to pick new items if this happens!

Your Temtem will help you with the gathering! They will hit the element alongside you, speeding up the process a little. Isn’t this very cool and cute?

That covers the “gathering, to improving, to using” cycle, and we believe we didn’t leave anything out, but if you have any questions let us know in the comments and we’ll do our best to answer them if we can!

We’re both nervous and excited for these last 72 hours, but we’re going to try our hardest to reach the next two Stretch Goals and offer you the most complete Pioneers experience ever!

See you tomorrow with a complete look at Dracub and Drackle, our batty Temtem!

Chatting about the pink poop is encouraged in our Discord server >:)

And if you can, please add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! It's the next best thing after backing our Kickstarter campaign 🩷

A frontier as unexplored and intriguing as the Downbelow houses many of the Temtem that populate the Archipelago, but there are also some new creatures that the Tamers above have never seen before. As a castaway in the Downbelow, you’ll be one of the first Tamers to meet these new species.

Temtem in the Downbelow, like their counterparts above, can be battled, defeated, and tamed.

Since you are on your way to face all these new creatures, please pay attention to this second introduction for another one of the first new Tems you’ll encounter. Be it ally or foe, these new Temtem are sure to impress and delight you! (Remember! If you're on the e-mail and can't see the images, please go to the Kicsktarter page!)

Najaria - Neutral/Toxic

She is beauty, she is grace, she will scratch you in the face: enter Najaria!

This sleek and elegant Temtem evokes the image of a cheetah, but also that of an iguana, with the big, flexible neck flap (did you know it’s called a dewlap?). Najaria is a Neutral/Toxic type, and her hardened nature makes her able to inhabit harsher biomes, like the swamp or the snowy fields.

Her name comes from Naja (genus for venomous snakes) + Aria (noble in Persian), and we believe it really suits her classy exterior. Najaria is always ready to pounce into action, and her reflexes are as sharp as her claws.

Early exploration for Najaria

This is not to say she can’t be a loyal and loving companion to her partner Tamer. Like all Tems in the Downbelow, Najaria can be a fearsome foe or a remarkable ally.

We hope you’ve enjoyed knowing more about this striking new Temtem, and that you’re eager to learn more about the rest of the new Tems shown in the trailer! Next up, Dracub!

Keep those claws sharp, and Temtem up!

If you'd like to join the Najaria fanclub early on, please head onto our Discord server and a number will be assigned to you.

And if you can, add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! It's the next best thing after backing our Kickstarter campaign :)

The Downbelow has been inhabited from way before you accidentally landed here, and so the life of these Temtem is very different to their counterparts up in the Airborne Archipelago. As the newcomer, it’s up to you to adapt to them, but you’ll soon discover this is going to be a piece of cake.

Untamed Tems in the Downbelow have different sets of stats, just like the ones from the Archipelago, but down here they also come in a variety of sizes. Will you be looking for the big ones or for the itty-bitty ones?

All of these wild Temtem have different behaviors, with some being timid and completely harmless, to some that only seek to defend themselves when attacked, to the fierce ones who will attack on sight.

One thing is certain: the Tems you find in the wild won’t go quietly into your TemCard, but once they become your partners, a new world of interaction will open for you: to start off strong, you’ll be able to pet All Of Them. Let me repeat that: all Temtem in the Downbelow can be pet! Enjoy the cutest side of your favorite Tems by showering them with affection. They will also help you gather resources, rest with you in your home, and some can even become your mount to go places quicker!

Temtem in the Downbelow can also breed to create offspring with improved stats! Like we mentioned in the Combat and Mount updates, your goal is to have the best stats possible in your Tems. There will be many ways to approach this, and breeding better offspring is one of them. While this system is still not fully defined, we can already tell you that it is planned to be much kinder and simpler than its Temtem version, so that better results can be obtained with less effort and meticulous planning.

I know you’re all very eager to know if your favorite Tems are in the Downbelow, and we’re here to clear those doubts. We’ve already talked about how Digital Tems will not be in the Downbelow, since they are man-made creations and the technology doesn’t exist in this untouched world. The same goes for Anahir and Anatan. Having been engineered in the Archipelago, they won’t be around the Downbelow either.

As for the three breathtaking Mythical Temtem, they are tied to their roots in the Archipelago and so will remain in their unique lairs on the floating isles.

Other than these exceptions, every Temtem from the original game will be making a return in Temtem: Pioneers! To all our Temtem Tamers who’ve loved these Tems before, you’ll now be able to see them from all angles and sides. Discover all the hidden charms from the Temtem you already know and love, and enjoy a new generation of Tems to discover, pushing the total to over 200 Temtem in the Downbelow!

We hope you’re eager to step foot into this brave new world, Tamers! In the next update we’ll cover player creation and customization! Gush with other Tamers about your favorite Temtem being in Pioneers on our Discord server, filled to the brim with nice people!

And if you can, add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! It's the next best thing after backing our Kickstarter campaign :)

Until then, have fun and Temtem up!

For those unaware the 400k goal says it will add "new tem variations". Despite how it might seem they've actually been hinting at this for awhile and this is all of the limited info we have received over the years.

Hello, Tamers! Today is a very special day because we just reached the Stretch Goal for the improved mount system! Thank you so much for taking Temtem: Pioneers further with your heartwarming display of support <3

To reward the trust you’re placing in Temtem: Pioneers, here’s an extra-long update talking about the Mount system, how it was originally planned and how reaching this Stretch Goal has positively influenced it. It’s a really interesting update with a couple of desired surprises, so we hope you’ll read it in full! (Remember that if you're reading on the e-mail and can't see the gifs properly, please check out our Kickstarter page!)
There’s also a surprise sneak peek of the next two Stretch Goals at the end!

The Downbelow is huge, and although you can absolutely go exploring on foot, why not let your Temtem partners help you along? Mounts are, as the name suggests, Temtem you can ride on to go further, faster, and in better company.
Our original idea was to have 12 Temtem mounts, 3 for each type of terrain. Now, thanks to you, we’re doubling that number and creating mounts that are mixed-terrain.

The terrain issue is pretty simple: you wouldn’t take your Chimurian swimming, right? Right now, the categories for mounts are: running, gliding, climbing and swimming. Every mount was meant to pertain to a certain type of terrain, and to carry the player across specific types of landscape. But now, thanks to your smashing this Stretch Goal, we’ll get to work on mounts that can take you across multiple kinds of terrain! A package deal, if you will!
Some running mounts that you’ve already seen include Chimurian and Momo, and you’ve also seen the Gliding Wiplump and Drackle. But did you know Osukai can carry you to the top of some mountains and cliffs?

Early exploration of the Osukai Mount

And don't you imagine Piraniant taking you across huge lakes and bodies of water?

Early exploration of the Piraniant Mount

Just like different Mounts are suited for different terrain, the Temtem species of your mount plays a role in its performance. Faster species, like Chimurian, make for faster mounts than slower Tem species, like Wiplump. But now that we’ve reached this Stretch Goal, we’re ready to add another layer to it: stat-based mount performance!

A Temtem’s stats will influence their performance if they’re converted into a mount. Higher stats will help them run faster, glide longer, or climb faster and for longer periods. To give you a practical example, a base Chimurian will always be faster than a base Wiplump, but a Chimurian with higher SPD stat will be faster than the base Chimu.

These stat-based changes work on an individual level, specific to each unique Tem, while the preset values of speed affect the entire species. A Temtem mount that comes from a fast species can become an authentic powerhouse of speed with the right Temtem stats!

In contrast with the original Temtem game, where Mounts were a separate item, in Temtem: Pioneers your own Tems become your mounts. To transform a battling Temtem into a traveling mount Temtem, you attach a saddle to it. We’re still not final on the details about saddles, but the gist of it is that you will craft them and attach them to a Temtem to turn it into a Mount. Pretty easy, right?
Please note: this process will be irreversible! Once your Temtem has become a mount it cannot go back to being part of your squad.

Early exploration of the Wiplump Mount

But one of the biggest perks of your own Temtem becoming your mount is that now, thanks to this Stretch Goal, your mounts can be Luma! All you have to do is select your differently-flavored Temtem, attach the Saddle unto them, and bam, Luma Mount!

And! As a surprise sneak peek, let us reveal the two Stretch Goals that can be unlocked after the improved mount system! Many of you have asked for more info on the Stretch Goals before we reach them, so we’ll start spoiling them a bit earlier!

The first one is a new biome: the Dark Forest, a dusky, spooky and mysterious new area. The Tems nesting there will be able to read your mind, as a majority of Mental types prefer to nest in the Dark Forest biome. If you’re into eerie vibes, like I am, you’re going to love this biome!

And the Stretch Goal after that is… two new color variations for your Temtem! Strange, new color variations have been spotted in the Downbelow. You know Lumas, you know Umbras, but are you ready to know Auri and Iris Temtem? We’ll tell you more about them once we reach their Stretch goal, but for now, we can tell you there’ll be a quest to complete, and it will also have an effect on their stats, as Lumas have.
Oh, and hey, your mounts can also be Umbra, and, if we reach this Stretch Goal, Auri and Iris…👀
Let's find them together!

This is the next huge step in this Campaign, so we hope we can continue counting on you to add more and more features! Let’s work together to reach the next two Stretch Goals, Tamers!

We can't stop recommending you all join our Discord server because it's fun and full of great people, and you can ask questions for the devs!

And if you can, add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! We hate to ask but it does help us a lot!

Now, let's saddle up and Temtem up! Yeeehaw!

Heellooooo Tamers! We’re doing an extra update this week to shine a spotlight on the beautiful digital and physical rewards that come from backing our Kickstarter campaign. We hope this update will make you happy that you backed Temtem: Pioneers, or light a fire under you to consider supporting the Campaign! We’ll also be answering some questions that have popped up regarding these!

As an important fact: if you decide to support this campaign, you will only be billed on May 9th, once the campaign ends. That’s also the deadline for you to make changes to your pledge, so keep that in mind if you want to alter anything about it!

Also important, shipping is only available for certain countries, so make sure you have your address and country information updated on your Kickstarter account before backing to avoid issues with shipping you physical tier rewards, or add-ons.

And last but not least, most of these perks are Kickstarter-exclusive, so don’t miss out on the chance! We want you informed and able to make the decision with all these things in mind.

Tier rewards

Tier rewards are the simplest, most straightforward: you pledge for a tier of the campaign, you get the goodies included in that tier and all the rewards from previous tiers. The only exception being the Digital tier, which doesn’t include the Compass Rose keychain as it’s a fully digital tier. Let’s take a closer look at each tier!

The Scout Tier is the first timid step into Pioneers. You’re still not sure if the game will be your cup of tea, but you wanna be able to keep up with the news and discuss it with the rest of Tamers. This tier will grant you access to Backer updates and the Discord channel for Backers. You also get a Scout role for our Discord server!

The Trailblazer Tier is when things start getting real good! Adding to the rewards from the Scout tier, you also get a digital copy of the game for Steam or the Epic Games Store. And we’ll ask you for the name you want to see in the credits! You’ll be immortalized in Pioneers forever <3 It also comes with a Trailblazer role for our Discord server.

Oh, so you want to be a Pioneer? GOOD. On top of the rewards from the Scout and Trailblazer tier, the Pioneer Tier is the first one to include Alpha access, which means trying Temtem: Pioneers way before its launch date. You’ll be able to provide feedback and suggestions at an early stage of development, see the content for the first time before the game launches, and help us iron out issues; you can even stream the first look into the game! But that’s not all: this fantastic tier also includes the first in-game reward, the Pioneer’s Belt Bag. This perfect accessory, visible on your character and visible to other players, symbolizes your pioneering nature and allows you some well-deserved bragging rights. But there’s even more! Get the Digital OST of Temtem: Pioneers, beautifully crafted by Damián Sánchez, and enjoy all the new pieces and tracks that walk with you across the Downbelow. Of course, there’s a Discord exclusive title as well!

Make way, for here comes the first physical reward! The Wayfinder Tier adds to all the previous rewards the Compass Rose keychain, a beautiful metal compass in the shape of Pioneers’ logo. It has a good weight and sparkles in the light, so it’ll be a really beautiful companion to your keys. Furthermore, you get another in-game reward: extra backgrounds for your TemDeck! We can’t reveal much about the TemDecks in the Downbelow, but just know that yours will be a bit more customizable and cooler thanks to this reward. Aaaand you guessed it: extra Discord role!

After a wayfinder comes a connoisseur. Experts in Temtem will back the Connoisseur Tier to add a new in-game reward to their already cool character. The Connoisseur Hat is a hat worthy of an experienced Downbelow explorer like you, and pairs really well with your Pioneer’s Belt Bag. There’s, of course, an exclusive role on the Discord server. But for the Temtem lover, this tier also includes a digital copy of Temtem and Temtem: Swarm, both for Steam. If you already have and love those games you can gift the keys to a friend you want to co-op with! And if you don’t have them, you’re stepping into the Temtem universe with a bang, welcome!

The digital keys for Temtem and Temtem: Swarm will start being delivered a few weeks after the campaign ends on May 9th, so they are the first rewards you’ll receive!

We give way to the Digital Tier! This tier was created a bit later than the rest, and due to popular demand. The Digital tier includes all the digital rewards from the previous tier, including three new juicy rewards! The Luma starter eggie means any starter you choose on your Pioneers playthroughs will be a Luma. This will not affect their stats, as it’s only a visual upgrade. All the starters will be new Tems, so enjoy discovering the Luma version as you choose which Tem to start your journey with! With your starter by your side you’ll soon go out to gather resources, and you can do so in a fashionable manner with the Golden Toolset skins! This skin will allow you to use any tools underneath without losing any of the shine, so don’t be afraid to upgrade your tools.

And last but not least, some housing swag in the shape of a Kickstarter housing statue! Prove your support from the comfort of your home, and impress any friend that comes to visit!

You also get the traditional, exclusive new title, and a sweet perk for those with other Pioneering friends! Two copies of Alpha access, so the two of you can discover the Downbelow together.

The Custodian tier is very easy to explain, since it includes everything from the Digital Tier, plus the Compass Rose keychain! Remember that each tier includes the rewards from all previous tiers, so when I say “everything from the Digital Tier” I mean all the exclusive goodies from the Digital Tier and all the rewards from previous tiers.

We get it: you’re the coolest Temtem fan in the world, and you are going for the gigachad tier, the utmost display of support: The Devotee Tier. This tier encompasses the rewards from all the other tiers, but includes the cutest, most adorable hand-painted statue, the Meadow Siesta statue. A Platypet and a Platox, who look like siblings, enjoy a chill rest in the cozy, warm waters of the Meadow.

This statue is the gem of the Kickstarter campaign, and a sure way to add some Temtem magic to your home. We are aware it’s a hefty tier, so we totally understand it won’t be for everyone, but those who get it gain a special place in our hearts <3

Initial 3D model we created for the Meadow Siesta statue

Another friendly reminder that all tiers include the rewards from the previous tiers! (except for the Digital tier, which doesn’t include any physical reward). Let’s move on to the add-ons, what they are and how they work!

Add-ons

Every different tier unlocks access to some extra add-ons! Add-ons are a cherry on top that you add to your pledge. Whether you want a specific extra item or multiples of a favorite, this is where you can make that happen. Some items are only available as add-ons, so we'll cover those too!

A couple of important things to be aware of before we jump into the available goodies: Not all add-ons ship everywhere, so please be mindful of this!

Not all tiers give access to all add-ons: each tier has specific options for add-ons, so if you're not finding the one you want, it might be unlocked at a higher tier. You can easily check which tiers include what add-ons from the Rewards sections.

You will only be shown the add-ons that can be added to your current tier pledge as you select them during the backing process.

Keep in mind Tiers that don’t include physical rewards don’t give access to physical add-ons, due to Kickstarter restrictions. Also, not all add-ons ship everywhere. Sorry :(

Now that we've got all that boring stuff out of the way, let's check out all the hella cool add-ons we've got available.

Add-ons include some rewards from the tiers, and some rewards that aren’t included in any tier. Let’s start with the ones you’ve seen before!

In terms of digital rewards, you can add extra digital game keys for both Steam and the Epic Games Store!

You can also add extra game keys with access to the Alpha, which is already a great time, but can be even better with your friends by your side!

And about things you can lovingly hold! Physical add-ons include the Compass Rose Keychain, a beautiful sign of your adventure to carry with you in real life! See it in action!

Or the OG Temtem physical Artbook, a beautiful book full of concept art, dev commentary, previously unpublished 2D art and striking visuals from your favorite Tems! We have a beautiful compilation of sneak peeks of the Artbook if you want to eye the merchandise before you buy, check them out here!

But we know the crown jewels of the add-ons are these two babes: the coveted Pigepic Plushie, the most sought-after piece of merchandise to ever grace the Temtem universe. Round, soft and squishable, your Pigepic companion will make your life brighter and happier. Please be aware that we have limited stock of The Baby.

And let’s say you’ve covered all your digital bases, but still want to bless your room with the adorable presence of a relaxed Platypet and Platox. You can also add the Meadow Siesta statue to your pledge! Hand-painted, solid and beautiful beyond words, this statue will induce a chill state in you.

We hope we’ve been able to showcase the neat little rewards of our campaign, but also that we have helped clarify some questions around the logistics of it all! If we didn't and you have more questions, remember to drop a comment or send an e-mail to support+ks@cremagames.com and we’ll be glad to help!

For bragging rights about what you will have, please head over to our Discord server, where there's a lot of excited people and helpful devs to share a chat with!

And if you can, add Temtem: Pioneers to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist! It really helps us keep the momentum going!

Thank you for supporting us so far! See you very soon for another update, or Stretch Goal, or… both 👀

Now let's yearn for the goodies and Temtem up!
