I'm looking to get out of tech. It's exploded, my network is cooked, and even if I find something, I will likely be looking again in two to three years because of the volatility. Getting laid off while I was hitting my quota was the last straw.

I know the hiring game has changed a lot and apparently linkedin doesn't work at all anymore. Are there any good sites or network to look for something in medical, industrial, or any other field you'd recommend?

Seven years of sales experience, 3 as a sdr, one as an AM with full cycle sales experience if that helps.

Unfortunately, my company is going under (SAAS, product was losing its viability, and we had a crazy amount of client churn) and just had to cut tons of people. Damn shame too even though i was still hitting my quota our volume was way down and the company couldn't justify the number of reps/my department.

I'm sort of in a tough spot because I got promoted into the role of AM and have about a year of experience with the title. Thankfully it's full cycle sales and management so its AE time too. I know the market's bad, but is it realistic to get another AE/AM role right now clearing at least 100k? I have a great reference from my previous boss, which helps a lot too. Being able to say I was hitting quota, and not lying about it is definitely a plus.

Im also curious what people think about ai with resumes and applying. Should I be putting my resume through chatgpt? I was worried about companies using detection and disqualifying me for doing that. Same concern with Q&A prompts on applications? Is it a concern if I come up with what I want to say but have chatgpt actually write it?
