A pistol so nice I had to buy it twice….. I have an optic cut version and a stock iron sight variation. Both pistols are older models from. 2015 and 2017.
Anybody have thoughts on semi auto 10mm as a 4 legged critter defense, particularly while hunting/hiking? It'll be for deer/elk in western Montana. Will also carry bear spray, but in case the odds aren't in my favor, would like to the ability to perforate.
Seems like a lot of people are saying 44 mag vs 475 Linebaugh vs whatever random revolver caliber. Fairly new to guns, and haven't purchased one yet. Pistol would also double duty as a night stand special.
Thoughts on rail mounted light?
is the Fn worth the extra $300ish? thanks
This by far is the most rare pistol I own. It was produced for a very very very short time with only about 400 ever produced. It’s essentially a Dan Wesson Razorback with front strap checkering, adjustable rear sights and an amazing overall fit and finish…..
My Dan Wesson Sportsman
Just purchased a ton of Buffalo Bore ammo and this ammo is from a brand new box of ammo…… with 3 different barrels…: can anyone chime in
Made a post months ago about picking up another 10mm after letting the G20 go, this is way better than my G20 in so many ways
- In California so can’t buy g20 and tbh i didn’t want to buy a gen 3 glock 20 anyways
- My options on the roster are mp 2.0 10mm
- Need gun for bear defense + ccw (i carry g19 with buffalo bore currently for outdoor defense) and I like how its dual use for ccw and woods just by switching ammo
-would have bought the gen 5 g20 for ccw and outdoors
questions:
which model to get-mp 2.0 4.6 or 5.6 performance center?
do i even need 10mm or the bb hardcast 9mm is enough ?
edit: reason why im asking even though the logical decision is clearly the 4.6 because i want to ccw it also is that ive been reading horrid things about its reliability and everyone recommends the performance center and tbh i think the main priority of the pistol is going to be bear defense and i dont mind an extra inch of barrel length for ccw…however if the problems in the 4.6 are ironed out then ill go with the 4.6
edit 2 : the comp 4.0 version isnt on the list and i dont want that one anyways so its basically 4.6 or 5.6
help!
This Sig Xten Comp was my 3rd 10mm. Love the caliber. Glock 40mos has been a hiking and hunting companion for years. Colt Delta Elite has been a favorite at the range and for occasional concealed carry. Bought this to bridge the gap. But it just wasn’t my style. Have been trying to sell it for 6 months to put the $ towards a Staccato. But gun stores either refuse to buy any P320-ish pistol or they low ball me like crazy. Oh it’s like new with 3 mags, holster, mag carrier, original box and papers? How about $250-300? Have you guys come across this mentality? I was under the impression none of the “accidental discharges” involved the large frame sigs?
If I had interest in buying the G29 Gen 5 it would be to complete having every Glock 10mm pistol and the G29 would have to be the EDC of the 3... It also might start me on the path to wanting to collect more compact size pistols as I like the Glock 29 and Glock 27 .
Bought this S&W last month. First range trip I fed it mostly S&B and blazer and 1-2 FtF similar to this in 150 rounds. I got the 20 lb recoil spring and Wolff extra power mag springs as recommended and it went from 1-2 every 100 to 1 every mag like this. I have the apex extractor on back order. I knew these might be troubleshooting levers I needed to pull even though that is dumb on an $800 gun, but this is even more frustrating. I’m wary of sending it to S&W after dealing with CZ earlier this year and getting something back that was half fixed. Thoughts?
I’ve heard some say magazine geometry but idk about bending parts like that seems too far out of scope. I feel like the extra power mag springs are making things worse.. like the gun is feeding too fast and cycling too slowly
I got 2-G29s consecutive serial #s. New condition. List on a sale site or sit tight? Money is not currently an issue.
Later this year I want to buy a CQB/“backpack” rifle braced pistol. I really like fully folding stocks since I hate how shorty ARs are spoiled by that buffer tube, so the buffer-less PSA Jakl really appeals to me. (Broadly speaking the Jakl is AR15 ergonomics but with a long-stroke piston like an AK-47).
Simultaneously, my girlfriend has been looking at a 9mm PCC, either an MP5 clone, Kuna, or Stribog. While helping her research that, I found out the Stribog is offered on a larger frame in 45 ACP and 10mm. I found out my old military buddy on the other side of the country has an A1 10mm Stribog and loves is, but now it’s offered in A3 so it’s roller-delayed and not blowback.
So for CQB, but also for a theoretical capability to range targets out to 150-200m, potentially use in steel challenge or applicable tactical games, which of the two would you advise?
