r/18XX

I am a seasoned boardgamer and I'd like to start playing 18xx games. Unfortunately it's hard to find people to play these irl. I know the 18xx.games site exists, but I feel that people there are experienced 18xx players. Is there a reason why there's not a single 18xx game on BGA (which I find less intimidating)?
