Is it possible to hide this 1Password pop up that takes up the entire screen when autofilling using the iOS keyboard autofill suggestions?

Sign-in attempts

Does the 1password.com page show all sign-in attempts? Is it theoretically possible that some attempts might not be logged?

I use personal account.

macOS AutoFill is now available to everyone!

Hey everyone!

Native macOS AutoFill is now generally available in 1Password for Mac. This has been one of the most requested features for years, and it's now ready for everyone on the stable channel.

https://i.redd.it/rukhuq0crsih1.gif

Here's what macOS AutoFill gives you:

  • By adopting Apple's Passwords API, 1Password functions as a native Credential Provider on macOS for logins. You can view autofill suggestions directly within Safari and other supported desktop apps.
  • Passkey support is built in. Fill, create, and update passkeys easily through macOS AutoFill.
  • The 1Password Safari extension works alongside macOS AutoFill. Login suggestions appear in Safari's native menu, and the extension continues to fill credit cards, addresses, and other items the Passwords API doesn't support yet.
  • One-time code support through the same integration is on the way and will land in an upcoming release.

How to turn it on:

  • Update to 1Password for macOS 8.12.32 or later.
  • Go to 1Password for Mac Settings > Autofill > Set up macOS AutoFill, then select "Turn On" from the macOS permission prompt. You'll see "Active" status once it's enabled.

Full setup and troubleshooting details are in our support article.

To everyone who tried the beta over the past few months: thank you! Your feedback directly shaped this release. We're happy to be one of the first credential managers to adopt these APIs, and we want to keep getting it right for you. Try filling logins and passkeys and let us know how it goes in the comments!

Slowing Down Firefox

Today, I've had 1Password slowdown firefox twice. Once while using google flights and once while using youtube. I'm using version 8.12.32.33 which was last updated today August 14, 2026. So I'm guessing there's some kind of bug or issue showing up.

This is on a Mac running Tahoe 26.5 with Firefox 153.0.4 (64-bit).

Thanks for taking a look

iOS browser extension not working anymore

Anyone else been experiencing issues with the iOS browser extension over the last couple of months? It used to work basically identically to the PC version, where it would appear underneath login fields for easy autofill. Now it doesn’t show up at all. It’s like it can’t even detect that there are login fields, and the button inside the fields doesn’t appear either.

I’ve tried reinstalling the app and toggling the extension off and on, but nothing seems to help. It just doesn’t work anymore.

Edit: Of course, it now seems like they’ve ruined the extension by forcibly disabling it if you have native autofill enabled. You have to have native autofill enabled if you want autofill to work in other apps, so apparently the browser extension and native autofill can no longer be used separately.

They were always separate before, and now they aren’t. So the browser extension can’t be used unless you stop using 1Password as your main password manager. Make it make sense.

Looks like I’ll have to go back to 8.12.8, because anything newer removes the browser extension. This should have remained the customer’s choice. It’s incredibly frustrating, and honestly, this is not okay.
Or not extension just errors then..

I may have to start looking for another password manager, because this was one of the main reasons I stayed with 1Password in the first place, and now I can’t use it.

MFA at every login attempt

Is there a setting that requires you to use MFA at every login attempt? I'm on the family plan and just saw that you can force someone to use MFA the next time they login.

I have been using 1pw for a year but about a month ago I had a remote access Trojan (which has been resolved). I have 1pw now set to log out after 10 minutes of being idle, and I force log it out when I'm done for the day but I worry if someone ever gained access to my computer again, they'd be able to get into 1pw which would obviously be horrible.

I'd be willing to pay extra but couldn't find if the business plans have this as a setting

Connect unsupported browser

I would like to connect Librewolf but it seems that:

When you connect an additional browser to the 1Password app, it will receive full access to the information saved in 1Password when the 1Password app is unlocked to save and fill your logins.

Does this actually mean that the good folks at Librewolf can see all my logins and passwords?

Autofill on website shows username with 1 password locked

I noticed that my tablet shows the username for a website that is in 1 password when 1 password is locked.

I think the username should be hidden until 1 password is unlocked.

Can this be set in the setting or is this expected behaviour.

Unable to connect with my credentials on Zen browser

Hello,

I'm trying to connect to the extension on Zen Browser, but it tells me that my username and password are incorrect even though I'm logged in with the same credentials on mobile and Chrome

Has anyone ever encountered this problem, either on Zen or Firefox?

Only site that doesn't work is login.microsoftonline.com. Why?

I use safari on MacOS. 1Password works all the time...except for logging into login.microsoftonline.com. when I click in the field the drop down appears for 1Password, but clicking on it does nothing. I have to manually open 1Password and copy and paste the password and then go back and do the same for the 2FA code.

Why does this site "block" 1Password? is there a way around it?

Misplaced Yubikey

I recently purchased a new phone and am unable to add it to my 1Password account because my passkey cannot be found.

My intent was to remove from the old phone once the new phone is up and running. I attempted to reset my account using my recovery key thinking it would remove the passkey requirement,. But all it does is reset the password. I am able to successfully access the account on the old phone.

Do I have any options for getting the new phone added short of creating a new account. If I cannot locate my Yubikeys is my only option to delete my existing account and start from scratch?

TIA

This error keeps popping up from time to time

This error keeps popping up from time to time on safari. Currently in iOS 26.6 but this also appears from the previous versions.

Why are passkeys stuck in purgatory?

It seems like such a no-brainer.

Yubikeys are more-or-less the only hardware key worth buying right now (for a combination of reputation, reliability, quality, and auditing). They also can only store 100 passkeys, and it’s always recommended to have multiple as backups… meaning you have to manually add each passkey to each key. Ugh.

All of this hardware key nonsense is a huge inconvenience… right up until you lock your password manager behind it. 1Password can save the day! Because that way, you can keep the vital accounts (recovery email, main socials, finance, etc) on the keys, but everything secondary can go in the password manager.

Except the punchline is: you cannot lock 1Password with your hardware key. Well, you can, except only for 2FA, or… if you’re willing to set up a second beta account and use the passkey beta there instead. Frankly, that feels a little ridiculous! It’s such a huge opportunity for 1Password, being so much more usable and feature-rich than a good chunk of the competition (Apple Passwords, Bitwarden, etc), and I can’t believe we’re years into the beta for the feature and it’s still not out.

I recognize it’s not exactly an easy problem to solve. There are clearly a lot of design considerations and edge cases and quirks… but frankly, they seem especially worth solving in an era where every other day there’s news about a new AI cyber-attack, and hardware keys get all the more appealing.

1Password, I ask you with love: what gives?

Edit: Apparently the passkey beta might not even be accessible anymore? Yeesh.

Search for literal string containing symbols

Are we still in a position where you can't search for a string including symbols and only get results which are an exact match? This is quite frustrating when you get a security alert saying a password may be compromised and then can't search your password manager to see if/where you have ever used that password.

Why can't I downgrade from a Family --> Individual account? No response from a human at support for 3+ days

I'm trying to downgrade from a family account to an individual account but the website isn't letting me.

I removed my one other family member from my account so it's now just me but when I go to select an individual account under Settings --> Billing, it says that I have too many members on my account.

Has anyone experienced this?

I emailed support over 3 days ago but am still waiting for a human to get back to me - the AI chatbot was not helpful

OSX 27 DB - Chrome Extension

Hi,

I just freshly installed OSX 27 DB and there is no way to get the Chrome extension to connect to the desktop app. I added all browsers in 1PW desktop too..

Before I upgraded from 26 to 27, everything ran smoothly.
Any tricks / hacks that I'm missing?

Thanks!
