What mental illnesses do you have?
If you have one of course.

also be honest- after turning 18 did any of you guys feel any different or do you feel the same?
everyone talks about turning 18 as such a huge life changing experience and i’ve kind of been doubting it but maybe i just don’t know what i’m on about. i’m in australia so ill be able to vote and drink and do everything when i turn 18 but i know it’s a lot different in other countries like america where you fully gain all your rights when you’re 21..
anyways lmk you’re experiences and thoughts on turning 18!

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m 18 years old and from France 🇫🇷, and I’m looking to meet some new people around my age who might be crazy enough to join me for an unforgettable weekend at Defqon 1 2027 !!!
I absolutely LOVE Hardstyle, Rawstyle. Music is a huge part of my life, and Defqon 1 has been a dream of mine for a long time. The problem is… none of my friends are really into this kind of music, so I have nobody to go with. 😭
So I thought: why not find some people online who are just as passionate about Hardstyle as I am?
I’m looking for 2-3 people, ideally around 18-21, who would be interested in: Going to Defqon.1 together, possibly camping together.
If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, send me a DM! Even if you’re not 100% sure yet, let’s talk and see if we get along. ❤️
and how do you get one 😭 please i’ve applied to superstore and walmart like 300000 times they’re probably sick of me 💀 i just want some cash bro
When I say main kids channels, I’m talking Cartoon network, Nickelodeon, Disney channel/disney xd etc
Hi, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts of 2008ers being scared or rather terrified of being 18 and sometimes they’re the first person to turn 18. But, at my work I’m the youngest out of all my coworkers. I have not met a single teenager our age or younger. It feels interesting and I feel much older than a teen because I’m used to talking and communicating with older people especially since I also have a job.
Help a brother out, much appreciated 🙏
As a kid I played a lot of fnaf and minecraft knock offs...lol
Honestly, it didn't feel like some big moment. No dramatic “I'm finally an adult” feeling or anything. I woke up, did my usual stuff, studied a bit, stayed at home... basically just another day.
Except for my family, no one wished me.
And yeah, I'm not gonna lie, that did hurt a little.
I don't even use Instagram or have some huge social circle, so it's not like I expected hundreds of messages. But when your phone stays quiet on your birthday, it does make you think about your life for a bit.
I don't really have friends. Not “I have friends but we're not close” — I mean I genuinely don't have that person I can randomly call, go outside with, send stupid shit to, or talk to when something is on my mind.
I'm pretty introverted anyway, and I've always spent a lot of time in my own head. Overthinking my future, studies, what I'm doing with my life, whether I'm falling behind everyone else... sometimes even thinking about things that probably don't deserve that much thought.
And recently I've been wondering if this is just what growing up starts to feel like.
When you're younger, you imagine adulthood as freedom, independence, money, career, relationships, etc. Nobody really tells you that one of the first things you might gain is a much clearer awareness of your own loneliness.
But I'm also not trying to make this into some “I'm lonely, someone please be my friend” post.
I'm actually okay with being alone most of the time. I've started to realize that being alone and being lonely aren't exactly the same thing.
Maybe the real challenge is learning to be alone without becoming disconnected from people, and wanting people in your life without desperately needing their validation.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just overthinking my 18th birthday lol.
For those who are older — did turning 18 actually change anything for you, or is adulthood just slowly realizing that nobody really knows what they're doing?
I get so surprised seeing kids born in 2010-12 and thinking that they’re still like 11-13 still but then realizing they’re all in high school!! 😭😭 I feel so old already as an 2008, can’t believe I’m already an adult
Drop some fun ideas to do
How do you all find the reason to keep pushing forward in our modern society that seems to be heading off the deep end?
When you’re a child and teenager, you’re the future of society. People and the media pay more attention to you by default, because you’re who will be replacing them in due time. Your development and well-being matters. I’m some ways, you’re “special” simply for being a minor.
Once you turn 18, that’s all over. Your shuffled with the rest of the adults. You’re the same as everybody else. You don’t really matter anymore. Your job is to maintain society now. You aren’t nearly as interesting.
Could you not get up, look at your phone, just sit down and watch a movie without any boredom and distraction? For how long?
Social media ruins our lives. And I'm going to find out almost how much it does. By eliminating most of it of course.
I just got a dumb phone today and I will be trying to get rid of my smart phone as well.
It's not just because of my attention span but I want to sit down and read a book for a few hours.
I would go without social media completely it's just that I send people I know videos back and forth and it's one of the only ways I connect with people. Outside of the family I live with of course.
