Be Nice to New Players
2xko has been receiving a lot of publicity with the upcoming tournament and with it some new players. For everyone who has been playing since beta to play nice when you match against a new player.
I remember when I first started learning the game in beta I played against a few rioters including the one and only Unconkable. He mixed my shit with Yasuo/Darius freestyle and showed off some cool things that you can do in the game. But he also recognized I was new and let me get some hits in and practice my combos. I don't think I got a round, but he also never got a perfect round.
Ignore this if you're playing ranked lol
Tahm Kench- Should he be in 2XKO? (A-Z)
Champ # 137/172. I’m going to every day ask in Alphabetical order for every League of Legends Champion. Does this character belong in a fighting game? We will be ranking them from S-Tier to E-Tier. SS-tier is when a champ has more than 50% S-tier votes. Take into account gameplay between league to 2XKO, lore and does this character fit. All previous Polls (https://www.reddit.com/user/ErrorNick/comments/1ovpy3z/) will be open till the final day.
Today we are talking about Tahm Kench, The River King. Should we Unbench the Kench? Uninhibit the Ribbit!

The Tier list is in desperate need of Maintenance but I just threw Syndra up in A-tier. Thank you everyone for being patient with me. Lets finish up this list strong! This is the communities list from the very beginning.
Well they are about to lose a player
Every game I play freezes on Xbox. It's gotten progressively worse and it's extremely frustrating cause I enjoy the game a lot.
Almost Cried Laughing Watching Tyler1 Try and Duo
At&T and Riot threw HARD not making the tournament duos somehow. Ik its 5 per team but they could have made captains jugg or something idk. The duos content is so hilarious
I don’t understand their idea for matchmaking in this game
I tried to play this again after putting the game away, since duo matchmaking was added. I’m in the US but I’m in a lobby full of people not at cabinets and it cannot find another player myself either duo or solo.
It’s causal so there shouldn’t be much restriction

Insane ending between Opal vs Kayne FT5
2XKO my first TFG. Just hit master and wanted to share some aspects of my gameplay that I still struggle with.
I saw a post the other day on this sub where someone said that Master is when you're finally "good at fundamentals". It caught a lot of flack, because people took it to mean that you aren't good at the game until Master+, and maybe I'll catch flack for this too, but to a marginal extent, I somewhat agree.
I still feel like there's so much I need to work on, so much that I can still learn. I'm not saying Master rank is bad, but rather I'm acknowledging that there's still a ton of room for improvement, and as I've gotten better and better at the game over the course of these last few months, it has opened my eyes to how high the skill ceiling is for this game and how much knowledge I still lack.
Things I still need to improve on:
- I HAVEN'T PARRIED A SINGLE THING. I keep telling myself I'm going to just play a session where I focus only on parrying things, but it just ends up slipping my mind in the heat of the match. I know a handful of moves I should be able to parry on reaction, but I'm sure there are a ton I don't know about.
- There are some moves that I straight up don't know how to block, and I guess I've been too lazy to look them up specifically. For example, one of Yasuo's assists, I don't actually know if that crosses up or not like his HoldS1 (I actually had to go into training mode to see what button he presses to even do this move). Warwick's jump where he goes above your head and swipes at you with his feet, sometimes when he's directly above me, I cannot for the life of me figure out which direction to block from. Etc.
- I think I just need to play the other characters more. I don't really know anything about the other characters' kits and what buttons they press to perform the actions they do. I couldn't tell you the differences between Darius' M and H, his S1 or S2, their respective follow-ups, and honestly that goes for most of the cast aside from Ahri and Jinx, which I play. I know what their moves look like visually, obviously, having played nearly 3000 matches, but I think it would help me to know exactly what buttons they're pressing to understand their flow of gameplay better.
- I need to mix up my approaches more often, but I don't really know how. I usually lead with Ahri, so I'm oftentimes approaching from the air, and when I end up in long sessions with someone in casual lobbies, they start catching on and anti-airing my approaches. I have no clue how I'm supposed to really approach someone on the ground. Dancing in and out and dash-blocking to get in on zoners feels really clunky to me, like I'm just mashing my dash macro and alternating between going left and right, which sometimes baits out a normal I can punish, but sometimes I just dash into a move they throw out. It feels really hit-or-miss and I feel so out-of-control of my grounded approach. (As Jinx, I don't really approach lmao)
These are some of the things I had top of mind not an exhaustive list. Feel free to share some things that you guys feel like you still need to work on with your own gameplay!
Matchmaking against higher rank players
I'm aspirant 3 and started playing 2 days ago.
I played 47 ranked matches today, out of those, I got 8 wins.
After a 9 game lose streak I got matched with a master 3 player. I also often match with silver players but that's fine I think.
Is there just not enough people playing? Is rematching people bad for MMR accuracy ? I just want to understand.

Star Guardian Jinx skin in 2XKO
This skin must to be in Mythic tier
and will be one of the best skin in the entire game! 🤩

What do you think?
Does anyone have a higher quality screenshot?
I have this thing where I get a wallpaper for each of my mains in fighting games that I play and this is the perfect shot for these two. If anyone has one, help is appreciated. (Doesn't have to be the exact same frame as long as the heart looks good)

Watching Lily, Ludwig, Squeex and Fuslie play each other in a private lobby shows where Riot nailed the casual experience with friends
They played a mix of 1V1s rotating people out while the others spectated on screen, then played 2V2, then back to 1V1 while Lily coached Squeex on the training mode at the same time. It really was just like hanging out with the squad in the same room getting games in, even though everyone was online.
They spoke highly of the pulse mode where it was nice to just be able to do easy combos. Watching Squeex 1V1 Fuslie while Lud and Lily coached in real time, and then gassing each other up whenever they successfully anti aired was just good vibes. Fuslie said it was the most fun she’s had playing a fighting game and played the game for like 7 hours to keep playing with friends, despite trying to end stream long before to sleep.
I think the new player experience is most frustrating when you kinda understand what’s going on and you’re grinding ranked by yourself. The flipside is Jakenbake was losing his mind grinding ranked in plat whenever something BS happened or something didn’t work the way it felt like it should. Which let’s be fair, is all the time in this game.
Touchpad on Razer kitsune suddenly registering as a mouse
AS the title states, my kitsune is suddenly using the touchpad as a mouse and I dont know how to correct that. Does anyone have an Idea how to fix. Happens in both PS/PC modes. It was working fine 30 minutes ago but now its a pain to reset in training.
Teamfight Fuse Adjustments
Teamfight Fuse Adjustments
We launched Teamfight last week, and we love that it lets duos reach new, chaotic heights. We also want to make sure that it works best with good coordination and strategic use. With that said, we’re adjusting Teamfight to make it more interactive for both attackers and defenders.
In its current form, Teamfight allows for explosive offense, but counterplay is high risk with little reward. In high-level play, having a second body to hop in and parry or block to prevent Break activation is too oppressive, and doesn’t line up with the Fuse’s intended identity.
To increase the decisionmaking around Teamfight, we're changing how it interacts with meter and adding more options for defending against it. Teamfight enthusiasts will need to work a little harder to tap into its maximum potential.
These changes are coming in patch 1.2.3, which is slated to go live June 9.
Offensive Adjustments
Teamfight can now spend up to 6 bars of meter when used. (Up to 3 per champion.)
Teamfight duration now depends on the number of meter bars spent to activate it.
- 2 bar: 5 seconds
- 4 bars: 10 seconds
- 6 bars: 15 seconds
- Meter cost is still paid by both the Assist and Point champs. If one champion has 3 bars and another has 1, Teamfight will only use 2 bars total—1 from each champion.
- Teamfight will always activate at the highest level possible. If you have the meter, there’s no way to choose a lower activation level.
Teamfight now has 12 frames of recovery, up from 5 frames.
- Performing a Teamfight into parry was too strong as a defensive option.
- 12 frames of recovery when performing Teamfight keeps combos intact, but severely reduces the viability of using it defensively.
Defensive Options
Teamfighting champions can no longer block or parry an opponent’s Break activation.
- Performing Teamfight then having the Assist block was creating unexciting play patterns with little counterplay.
Successfully parrying a Teamfighting champion now immediately ends Teamfight.
- Parry in 2X is already a high risk high reward option, and parrying a Teamfighting champion previously did not lead to a significant advantage for the defender and was incredibly risky.
Hitting a Teamfighting champion now applies 2.5x more Teamfight duration reduction.
- Successfully attacking an opponent’s Teamfight will now disable it significantly faster.
How would they even nerf freestyle?
Being able to tag twice is so fundamentally strong that I don't even know how you could nerf it. But since everyone's talking about it now with teamfight nerfs getting announced, I was kinda thinking about it
Make burst faster
- If it's unreactable, you can still guess to bait burst if your assist is on screen, but you can't just go "oh a green flash I'll tag now" like you currently can
Longer cooldown
- 6 seconds is already noticeable, but it's obviously not a massive drawback if you can get a hit with freestyle, do a 3 second combo, and then do a short blockstring and get it back.
- Maybe they could make it so blockstrings post-freestyle don't let your assist recharge immediately? (like using assists in combos)
Add a bit of damage scaling after a second tag
- I don't think the benefit of freestyle was ever supposed to be combo damage, especially when double down is right there. But it still lets you hit 3 bar ToDs and stuff
- It would obviously need to be more thought out than that, but maybe it could make supers have more scaling? They already did this for double down, so I think it'd be pretty reasonable to do the same thing with harsher scaling.
Damage increase on freestyle assists before they leave
- this would make using freestyle in neutral a bit riskier. Just clipping a freestyle assist with something could do like 1.5x or 2.0x damage to encourage people to use it a little more safely.
- Especially if they just boosted the first hit by a huge chunk - that way you don't get a random ToD or anything, but if you get a stray hit in on the assist it'll do like 20% or something
- That's kinda how skullgirls works and it does a good enough job keeping stuff like H Brass in check
